When was the last time that you prayed God, teach me to walk in your sanctification. God speaks numerous times both in the old and new concerning His purposes, his will for life. And it's only when we are maturing, that we're going to be moving in the direction of his will. And we call that sanctification, whereby we become less, and the power of God, the presence of God, the Spirit of God becomes more in our life, that is sanctification, and involves us following the purposes of God. The Bible reveals that there is a judgement day when every human being over all of human history will have to appear before God for judgment. And there's two possibilities. One will be either condemned, or one will be invited into the kingdom of God. Let me ask you a question. Do you truly love others, loving other believers, as you do your family? The scripture speaks about how two people from different backgrounds, different cultures that maybe even once spoke different languages. But now they can become one through the gospel message being made into a new creation. The Bible speaks how God is building up a temple, not a temple made of physical things, but rather a temple of people who he is fitting together, that we might come together as one manifestation of the people of God in this world, setting aside those things that that the world uses to divide to separate, to speak about differences, that we can be one people in truth through that anointing and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Do you understand yourself before God, we need to have a proper a spiritual understanding of who we are. And we need to understand our spiritual situation before coming to faith and that gospel message prior to becoming a new creation in Messiah. And after receiving the truth of God, taking hold by faith of that gospel, being that new creation in Messiah, we need to understand who we are spiritually before God. And a great assistance in answering those questions. Is this what God did to the Jewish people in Egypt? And I'm speaking about how he brought them out of slavery, the bondage of slavery, the order that took place, and what I'm referring to is this, you see, first God redeemed the people, we see that pattern in the book of Exodus, they were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. You are being watched, watched by fellow believers and watched by other individuals as well. And as I've said, your testimony should be of the utmost importance to you. Because your testimony is influencing people. The question is, is it a positive influence, or God forbid, a negative influence? Well take out your Bible and look with me to First Thessalonians and chapter two, First Thessalonians and chapter two. Now we're going to begin where we left off last week, in verse 10. Paul is speaking to this congregation that has influence a godly influence on others, not just in Thessaloniki, where they are. But throughout this this Greek empire that that still is in existence, of course, the Romans are ruling over it, but it's still highly influenced by by the Greeks, and their their gods and false teaching. Their culture is still very much prevalent in society. Do you have a proper and scripturally based understanding of the law of Moses? Many people do not. And the reason for that is they think that the Spirit leads one way. And the law leads another that these two things the spirit and the law, are in conflict with one another. But what does Paul say for example, in the book of Romans and chapter eight, and verse four, he says, Those who walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh, but in the spirit. These are the ones that fulfill the righteousness of law. We're going to find in our study today that when one walks in the Spirit, He will fulfill the righteousness of the law. But what's the problem? Until one is born again, let me say it another way, until one receives the gospel, that person is in the flesh. And the scripture says, When you're in the flesh, you're not going to fulfill the righteousness of the law, but you are going to fulfill sin, sinful desires, and therefore you will be heading for judgment. What do you know about the biblical term, the day of Christ, or the day of Messiah. It's also spoken of with the phrase, the day of our Lord, Messiah Yeshua. Now this term speaks of our blessed hope. We can use a another term to speak about the same thing, and that is the rapture. So in the New Testament, six times this phrase appears, whether it's the day of Christ or the day of our Lord, Messiah. Sure, it appears six times. Now, most people are more familiar with a different expression. The gospel message is truly a good message and message that has many wonderful aspects to it. One of which is that the gospel is made available to us freely without costs. Now, that's true for us the recipients, but do not think that the gospel came about freely. Messiah paid a very high price, he laid down his life he shed his blood. You see, the gospel is a message of salvation through redemption. And this concept of redemption, biblically, is always involving a price being paid. So it's free to us.
