This episode has been a long time coming. The right time for release is now and one reason for that is, today is the release date of the book! Yes! It's complete and ready to be on your shelves. Twenty years as a performer and a writer, now I'm on book 3! I couldn't be more excited and more at peace!

Last episode I spoke about the Black Man, this week I talk about the Black Woman. Key components in our black homes, yet separate entities trying to be better whilst facing their own battles. There is so much more to say on this topic, and both will come in due time. For now, here is a snippet of my thoughts.

How many of us have seen Black Men who seemingly have it all together and believe he should never speak about his emotions? How many of us have seen Black Men who are struggling and believe he should never speak about his emotions? How many of us believe that men are broken and should be fixed but not healed? Our families were torn apart and we were indoctrinated to believe that we can do better on our own. Can we forgive ourselves as individuals so we can allow our Black Men to feel safe in speaking to us on their journey of healing?

What is self-sabotaging? Why do we do it? Is it possible to break it? How can we heal? This episode isn't just about me talking about my opinions and discussing viewpoints, it's also about giving you things to think about.
Let me know your thoughts. How do you self-sabotage and why?

Can we just shoutout Instagram please? I was able to connect with another beautiful soul on the other side of the world thanks to Instagram. Never be afraid to ask questions because you may just block yourself from connecting with good people. To love others, it's imperative we are able to love ourselves to some degree.
