Welcome to the Love Chicago Women podcast! In our first episode, I interview local Chicago artist, Gloria I. Rivera, to learn what has inspired her art and conversely, how her art has inspired her and many others. Born and raised on the southside of Chicago, Gloria has been influenced by the city her entire life. Having faced several challenges in her earlier years, primarily fighting self-doubt and fear, she discovered that visual art was a way for her to process, heal, and share her lessons with others. The creation of each piece forced her to reflect on herself and the struggle that inspired each revelation and triumph.
