Just as God's people longed for the promised Messiah to come, we savour His appearing and long for His return. In these next 4 weeks we are going to see how the gospel of John recognizes an innate longing in all of us, and points us to fulfillment in Jesus. As we enter into this Christmas season, we are closing a year filled with challenges, disappointments, and shifting ground. Advent is an incredible invitation to lean forward and look up at Jesus, our hope, our anchor, and the Light that shines in the darkness.
