LTG Nadja West is currently the 44th U.S. Army Surgeon General and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Medical Command. She is the first African-American Army Surgeon General, the first African-American female active-duty major general and the highest ranking female officer to have graduated from the United States Military Academy. In this podcast, she talks of humble beginnings and how service in her family was inculcated early on. Her philosophy is to perform your best at every job given and that anything is achievable with hard work.
