There are several names we recognize as soon as their voice hits the radio: Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran (for better or worse). And that's all good and fine. But my favorite niche in the music industry is what we like to call the Sad Girls™️. This cultural phenomenon appreciates solo women in music who don't write your average party song but rather your special crying in the club song. Driving in the mountains. Looking at the stars. It is these women who will compete in the Sad Girl Olympics, using a foolproof scoring system of my creation that will decide who will go home with the gold.
