As we continue the journey of reinvention I thought it would be great to have an episode that focuses on creating or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. While I like to think of myself as a fairly healthy person, I admit that I struggle in maintaining some of my health goals when life is on a fast train. But maintaining a healthy lifestyle can boost our performance in our daily lives personally and professionally, can help reduce our stress levels and bring more energy into what it is that we do everyday. For this episode, I invite a long time friend and colleague to share her expertise and give us tips as we strive to create change and form healthy habits.Ashley Barrient is a Registered, Licensed Dietitian and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. Currently, Ashley is the Practice Owner of Live Fully Therapy, PLLC, a telemedicine private practice offering nutrition and psychotherapy services, and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor with the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health at Loyola University Chicago. Prior to Ashley’s current work, she dedicated 13 years to providing patient care at academic medical centers across the Chicagoland area including Northwestern Medicine, University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System, and Loyola University Medical Center. In this episode we talk about:Creating a healthy lifestyle to perform optimally in our world of work How Ashley leverages her background as a Dietitian and Licensed Professional Counselor to fulfill her career purposeStrategies to stay motivated and achieve our health related goalsPracticing self-compassion when forming new habitsCreating a toolkit for stress coping mechanismsDon’t skip breakfast before your job interview! tips of what to eat beforehandBeing mindful of your healthy eating behaviors to optimize work performance and boost our moodsAshley's Book recommendations:https://eatingmindfully.com/books/How to Change by Katy MilkmanWherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life by Jon Kabat-Zinn Connect with Ashley:[email protected] with me!LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lizherrera1/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizcareercoaching/Website: https://www.lizcareercoaching.net/Twitter: https://twitter.com/HerreraLiz27Email: [email protected]: https://www.purple-planet.comArtwork: Joseph Valenzuela DesignIf you enjoy the show and want to treat me to a cup of coffee consider making a small donation below!Support the show

It might be time for a check-in and self-reflection. I personally am in a space of self-reflection and thinking hard about what I want out of this year. However, setting an "ambitious" goal is not what I am chasing after this year - how about you?If you are feeling the same way about your goal-setting journey, I invite you to consider starting small with the formation of new habits, maintaining the good habits and letting go of the bad ones. I kicked-off my year with listening to the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for strategies and simple ways to form new habits and break bad ones. On this episode I walk you through my own self-reflection and how this book has provided me with some light bulb moments that might serve you as well.Connect with me!LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lizherrera1/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizcareercoaching/Website: https://www.lizcareercoaching.net/Twitter: https://twitter.com/HerreraLiz27Email: [email protected]: https://www.purple-planet.comArtwork: Joseph Valenzuela DesignIf you enjoy the show and want to treat me to a cup of coffee consider making a small donation below!Support the show

As a career coach, many of my conversations start with individuals disclosing how discouraged they are in their job search process or how they lack confidence to chase after that next role or career move. Sometimes it is that lack of confidence that keeps us stuck and stagnant and therefore we need to be self-aware so that we can take the necessary actions to find that self-confidence and move forward. My guest today is Mira Parmar who is a Confidence and Leadership Coach and has seen and experienced first-hand the extra barriers and obstacles which women have to overcome to be able to prove themselves against their male counterparts and this has become a major driver for her current coaching work. She helps her clients overcome their barriers to success and achieve massive shifts and transformation. Her journey is serving as an inspiration for so many women to also break free, take charge of their life and get back in control. Her mission in life is to help women to be more successful and happier, using the quickest, most efficient path possible. Her clients experience amazing improvements in their confidence, productivity, motivation, leadership skills, goal attainment, stress reduction, and work/life balance.Episode Highlights:Ways to build self-confidenceFinding clarity and focus to get unstuck Feeling confident in your job searchEliminating negative self-talkMira's upcoming trainingDo you need a boost in CONFIDENCE and more WELLNESS in your life? https://miraparmar.coach/confidenceandwellness/ Connect with MiraW: https://miraparmar.coach/W: mkpcoaching.comE: [email protected] to booking a call with herhttps://miraparmar.coach/book-in-a-call/Connect with me!LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lizherrera1/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lizcareercoaching/Website: https://www.lizcareercoaching.net/Twitter: https://twitter.com/HerreraLiz27Email: [email protected]: https://www.purple-planet.comArtwork: Joseph Valenzuela DesignSupport the show
