Wyjuana Montgomery - Reaching Forward
My guest is Seattle native Wyjuana Montgomery, who is an International Speaker and 2X award-winning author and the personality behind WYJUANA SPEAKS. She holds a B.A. in African & African-American Studies from Duke University and a M.A. in Organizational Management from Ashford University. Fueled by her passion for mentoring, she founded Reach Forward in 2014, which is now Reach Forward Foundation, a nonprofit mentorship program for youth in grades 6-12. In October 2020, Reach Forward Foundation was recognized by the Journal Record, a prominent Oklahoma City-based business publication, as one of five 2020 Programs Making A Difference.  Wyjuana also created the NO FEAR Ladies Conference in 2014, which empowers and inspires women and teen girls from across Oklahoma and the United States. In 2016, she published her first book, Bold, Brave and Courageous: A NO FEAR Success Guide for Teen Girls, which earned the 2018 Feathered Quill Bronze Award for Teen Nonfiction and 2018 IAN Outstanding Young Adult Nonfiction Award. Her book has been adopted by schools and girls programs across the country and overseas. In 2017, Wyjuana received the Women of Color Expo’s Impact Woman of the Year Award for her community work. Wyjuana Montgomery’s career has spanned from community relations for NBA and WNBA teams, to galvanizing women to support her local Girl Scout organization and currently she is a Director of K12 Implementation for an award-winning international educational technology company. She continues traveling the world, using the WYJUANA SPEAKS platform to share her message of NO FEAR and women’s and youth empowerment. Wyjuana is now at work on a second book, The Pain of Being Destined for More and continues to grow the Reach Forward Foundation. Blythe Donovan - Spreading Joy
My guest is Blythe Donovan, who is a serial entrepreneur and Independent Insurance Agent. She has a background in marketing, psychology and education, which she uses to help small businesses grow and flourish. If she had to sum up what she wants to do with her life, it would be "To spread joy and take care of people." Fortunately, insurance allows her to do that. Blythe has been a single mom to 2 beautiful children for over 10 years now, and loves getting to be a mom! In her spare time, she likes to go on road trips with her children, exploring the beauty of the world. She helps other people navigate the perils and heartbreak of divorce, and of overcoming their struggles when life doesn't go the way they thought it would. She loves to write, and someday hopes to complete her book. She is an avid reader and a nature lover, and finds joy in all circumstances. Thomas Hill - Recovering Leadership
My guest is Thomas Hill, who serves as CEO of Kimray, a leading manufacturer of valves and controls for oil and gas production. His grandfather, Garman Kimmell, founded the company in 1948. Today it employs more than 500 people at its production facility in Oklahoma City and store locations throughout the United States. Having grown up in the company, Thomas has worked in virtually every department—giving him an intimate knowledge of the people and processes from start to finish. Thomas is also a self-described addict leader who hit rock bottom and had to find a new way to live and work.
