Have you ever wondered if God was talking to you or if it was Satan or maybe you were just hearing what you wanted to hear? How do we know God's voice?

If you are a person in a position of authority, you think your church is going in the wrong direction, or God is being falsely represented, you must speak up. God's Word must be upheld! But how do we go about it?

Often we struggle on our own or look to human help, but God has all the power and knowledge and He loves us beyond measure. So, why don't we take our problems to Him and leave them there. In Him we find power, peace, and hope.

I do not know why God doesn't prevent or fix our need and pain. But I know that it's not because He doesn't love us, or have enough knowledge or power, or because He isn't good.

Jesus paid the price for our souls. But unless we accept the sacrifice He made on our behalf, it is useless to us. Accept Jesus today!

Though my kids are grown now, I haven't forgotten the struggles of being a young mom. The joys are endless, and wonderful, and every age and stage are great for many reasons. I'm sure I've written about the joys of motherhood before and I'm sure I will again, but that's not what I'm thinking about today. Today, I want to encourage you in your struggles by letting you know that I remember.

Sometimes it feels like we have too many needs of our own to be there for anyone else. We aren't sure if we can set our own needs aside for anyone else. If we don't take care of ourselves right now then no one else will. Maybe you are going through a really tough time and you just feel like you need to shift the focus away from others and onto yourself for a while. That makes sense from a human perspective. But God has another way. He says to go ahead and take care of others and trust Him to take care of us. He won't let you down.

We all need our own personal relationship with God. Maybe He was your parent's God first, your spouse's or your friend's, but eventually He must become your own. Naomi had two daughters-in-law. After all three of the women's husbands had died, Orpah went back home to her family and her gods. But Ruth clung to Naomi and her God. She had adopted them as her own. This is what we can learn from Ruth in her commitment to God and family.
