We needed a way to recap 2020 to share some experiences, but also officially leave it behind, in a way that was more fun than just telling stories. So we came up with an over or under question and answer format. We pick an aspect of 2020, either sports or parenting related, and rate whether it over-performed or under-performed given the circumstances. We rate everything from the fake fans in the stadium, to pandemic kid-made art, to professional coaches wearing masks. We also give educators their due appreciation through stories of Adam’s wife, and what she had to deal with as a teacher. On the heels of the Adrian Peterson signing by the Detroit Lions, Adam and Chris dive into the difficult subject of abuse, and the nuances and fine lines that exist within the concept of discipline in sports. We do our best as non experts to tackle this tough conversation, and approach from our own experiences witnessing verbal abuse and questionable discipline tactics in youth sports. We also talk about how to react when confronted with another parent who is showing signs of verbally abusing their child. It's a heavy one folks, but an important discussion. We do book end the conversation with some light subjects, like a beer for dogs and cats, and Adam's son David giving us some Marble Run play by play.
