Fishing was not the job that Peter was to return to after the resurrection.  Fishing was his old life not the life which God had called Peter. Ordinary shepherds were watching their sheep on an ordinary night when everything changed. Angels lit up the skies and shared the GOOD NEWS that Christ the King has been born in Bethlehem and laid in a manger.  The Messiah had arrived which meant the world could now be rescued.
