If you enjoy Deep Space Nine, you will enjoy this podcast. These are deep dive reviews into every episode, and our hosts are good friends whose engaging banter makes for a lively and strangely comforting podcast. The next time I watch DS9 from start to finish (because I am always watching Star Trek in some form or another), I’ll listen to this podcast again as a companion piece.

I listen to this podcast pretty much every day on my commute. 1.5 stars for paul, 1.5 for Andy, and 2 stars for Dr. Bill’s spatula arms

I was really hesitant to listen to a fan cast, but I’m so glad I gave this one a shot. The hosts love DS9, but they’re frank that the series was uneven, and sometimes really bad, particularly during the first two seasons. Because they’re honest in their criticisms, their complements and praise mean even more. I also really enjoy how well Paul, Shawn and Andy complement each other. They’re like the three aspects of my fandom and I appreciate their different perspectives and the points they highlight. Thanks, guys.

Paul, Dr. Bill, AND Sir Andrew deliver an incredibly entertaining and insightful podcast. They discuss and debate the show’s key themes and frequently make clever connections to other Star Trek shows. Their passion and respect for the series is beyond question. I rate this podcast five Allamaraines!

I Love this podcast! just started listening and I can’t get enough. Andy and Paul are awesome and hilarious. DS9 is my favorite ST series and they always give an honest diagnosis of these episodes good or bad. I would recommend this show to any fellow Star Trek fans.

I have been listening to the podcast since the beginning for it was the only place I was able to get my DS9 fix. The hosts are fun to listen to and each bring their own opinions to the episodes up for review. A loyal listener to the end. Thank you for all your hard work.

Good show

I enjoy it overall. I’m a fan of DS9 from the original run and it’s fun to revisit it. They can ramble and get off topic at times and it often takes several minutes for them to actually start talking about the episode but once they get to it the discussion is good.

Listen to the profits is a fantastic index show of Star Trek DS9. The hosts are funny and irreverent but at the same time have great insight into the show. They very often make me want to hit Netflix or break out my DVD’s to watch an episode after they review it.

Please notice I gave 5 stars. Having said that, please stop letting Dr. "Nothing but jokes" Bill read the synopses. I get it, you don't like Philip Anglim and Cardassian sounds like Kardashian! OK! Otherwise, a great listen.

This is a fantastic podcast! The guys all bring something a bit unique to the table with their opinions on each episode that makes the whole thing funny, insightful and all around brilliant. I'm so glad to have found this and know that there are people who love this series as much as I do. Great job!

In my opinion they often treat these episodes and this podcast as just a way to make fun of DS9. It seems, despite their many statements to the contrary, that the podcast hosts do not like DS9. Instead of talking about the episode and what was good about it and why they liked it they, instead, spend the whole time telling the listener what sucked about the episode of the week and why no one else should like it either. When they give their ratings, 85-90% of the time I disagree with what they give.

'Listen to the Prophets' provides really good discussion of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as well as whatever else the hosts feel like talking about. The hosts all bring different and interesting perspectives to bear and thankfully they don't always agree on every episode. If you're looking for a fun round table style discussion show, this is a good addition to your podcast feeds.

These people don't even seem like fans of the series. They sit and talk about how bad an episode is. How bad the sets are. How bad the acting is. I could go on.. Definitely recommend The Orb which is a much better much more insightful look at the series.

I came here as a fan of Andrew Leyland from "The Fantasticast" and as a guy with fond memories of (most of) Deep Space Nine (the non-Avery Brooks parts)…I picked the wrong podcast episode to start with: #48-The House of Quark. The novelty of a Ferengi taking on the Klingon Empire was totally lost on Paul Spataro and that Gene Hendricks guy mis-remembered episodes of Next Generation to such an infuriating degree that i was gnashing my teeth at my ipod. But I STAYED for Andrew Leyland, checked out other episodes, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not as organized as "Mission Log", but a fun hang with DS9 fans. Check it out! (I give it four stars…plus an extra star just for you, Andy.)

I came to this podcast via the excellent Just One Of The Guys Podcast by the great Shawn Engel and I decided to give this a try since I have always loved DS9. Great chemistry among the hosts and great insight into the different episodes. And yes the ladies are hot! As long as you keep making podcasts I will be listening.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine is one of the best shows out there, let alone for a Star Trek show. The main attraction being the characters and how they grow and change. For example, you always see the same people at the top of "favorite character" fan polls (Kirk and Spock for TOS, Picard and Data for TNG) but on DS9 it's always spread across the board, I think this is because each character is deep and detailed. None of the characters end up where they started. In today's tv era where story arcs, character development, and watching a whole season is king, DS9 was way ahead of its time in a narrative sense (before 24!). A journey worth remembering and being remembered. And it proves that you don't need to go anywhere to have an adventure. This podcast is great as well (in case you guys thought I forgot about you). Love the commentary on each episode, and the extra bit of nerdy news is great to get as well. You all obviously love the show and I can't wait to hear more episodes! And if it's not too early, could I ask who you favorite DS9 character is?

Found this podcast through Hey Kids Comics, my gateway to the Two True Freaks network. Deep Space 9 has historically been the Star Trek series I am least interested in, however, listening to these three (sometimes more) gentlemen talk about the series with such passion makes me want to give it another shot. I look forward to each new episode as it comes out. Thanks guys!

Of all the really great podcasts about ds9, this one might be the greatest.

How did they do it? I never liked Deep Space Nine. Never! Then I started listening to this podcast just because I enjoy the hosts' other podcasts. Next thing I know, I'm sitting in front of my television, watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine on Netflix, and I'm not even actively hating it! Seriously, though, even if you're no fan of ST:DS9, the rapport between the hosts of this show, along with the commentary and humor, are worth your time. The show is light-hearted, hilariously funny, and often very insightful in its dissection of each episode.

This is one of the best Star Trek podcasts out there. Talking about one of the best versions of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. The collective of Two True Freaks alum’s have added another jewel into the Two True Freaks crown of great podcasts.

Still a great podcast! This truly international show has three host with the most. A trio of podcasting grandmasters. A Trek triple threat. A hat trick of entertainment. If you love Star Trek ( I do), if you like fun (who doesn’t?) if you have an hour to kill (let me check) than listen to this show and if your not careful you might just learn something.

This is an entertaining podcast about Star Trek: Deep Space 9. In addition to covering recent Star Trek news (that was new a month ago), tangents and bloopers, Shawn, Andy and Paul summarize, discuss, look for deeper meanings and subtext, and joke about each episode of DS9. Informative, always interesting, thought-provoking at times, and, most importantly, hilarious, I always look forward to new episodes every other Wednesday. I give it my highest recommendation. If any of the hosts see this, thanks for the podcast!
