Ep 33-Taking Charge of Taking a Stand
Hello dreamers! It's been a while! The month of October has come and gone, but I'm back to give you another conversation and experience to start the month of November! There are many definitions of what it means to take a stand, but the most common and effective definition is to assert an opinion or viewpoint; to defend one's point of view or beliefs. In a return to form experience, I do my best to provide enlightenment, information, and hopefully encouragement towards fighting for what you believe in or helping in a courageous effort to assist someone else. I'm so grateful to have so many supportive people like yourself who come back and still support me. At the risk of repeating myself, it truly means a lot to me. Remember, this season is about taking charge, so i hope you enjoy the ride! I couldn't have done this without you all!  Enjoy the episode because there are lots of gems here that hopefully enrich your life. I hope you all continue to drive toward the horizon. I will do the same. Don't forget to download, listen, and share with someone who could use a little hope, and of course, don't forget to be awesome! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Want to keep up with me outside of the podcast? Ep 32-Emily Takes Charge of Her trauma and claims her present.
I saw this article in which it said, "Of all the issues surrounding well-being, perhaps none is as difficult as the power of acceptance. True acceptance means acknowledging all aspects of your life, even the negative ones, and facing how you feel about them." That rings very true for a lot of us. Some of us find a great deal of trouble coming to terms with certain aspects of our lives. What happens when you start the journey towards peace? This episode's special guest will help illuminate that with Toki Meki Emily returning for a lovely conversation!  For some of you, this will be your first experience listening to a beautiful person, for others, it will be the second time around. It's always wonderful catching up with people and seeing how far they have come on their journey.  She and I discuss what it means to deal with trauma, her experiences in going to therapy this year, and her stance on mental health. Given the nature of this topic and what it portends, fair warning for anyone who may be dealing with similar circumstances. This conversation, like many others, is only meant to help highlight the journies of some courageous people who want to share their stories and you, the listener, to find some inspiration in your journey, hopefully. If this triggers any anxiety, I strongly encourage you to stop listening and come back when you feel able. Ep 31-Taking Charge of your trauma with Jay Omega
Someone once said that “There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”  It's a potent sentiment.  When I started this journey, I wanted to create something that resonates with every soul that should ever listen to my content. I have hoped that you can pull something from every visit and conversation.  I hope that trend continues today with this episode's special guest: Jay Omega!Awesome name aside, this mental health advocate and the streamer has overcome a great deal in his life and is healing and helping others all the same. You may not hear it in the episode, but this is his very first podcast appearance ever!  In our conversation together, Jay tells the story of his childhood trauma and how it affected him growing up.  He also talks about how he used the experience of his life to helping others.  We even discuss bullying and how parents can help mitigate the situation facing students today.  Our life can be tough at times; there's no doubt about that. However, it makes Jay's story even more inspirational that while still healing on his journey to peace, he can be a source of hope for others. I'm so grateful to have so many supportive people like yourself who come back and still support me. At the risk of repeating myself, it truly means a lot to me. Remember, this season is about taking charge, so i hope you enjoy the ride! Ep 30-Taking Charge of the past with Mental Health Counselor Gary Nelson
Someone once said that “There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”  It's a potent sentiment.  When I started this journey, I wanted to create something that resonates with every soul that should ever listen to my content. I have hoped that you can pull something from every visit and conversation.  I hope that trend continues today with this episode's special guest: Mental Health Counselor Gary Nelson!  When you endure life, it has a way at times of either making you feel buried underneath the struggles, or it allows you to transform both your perspective and your energy to something greater. Sometimes having a guiding and measured hand can help us traverse our darker days. This episode is truly incredible because I enjoyed speaking with Mental Health Counselor Gary Nelson! This brilliant and insightful brother, all the way from Jersey, stops by to chat about mental health, the struggles that African Americans endure when it comes to mental health, as well as the stigma from the media towards it! We even chat about the past and ways to overcome the trappings of anguish that sometimes shackles us from enjoying the present. As you know, our past can, at times, shackle us from walking towards our future. Given how important a topic this is, I wanted to get the perspective of someone who has diligently studied and practiced the ever-changing art and science of counseling to provide some insight. I'm so grateful to have so many supportive people like yourself who come back and still support me at the risk of repeating myself, and it truly means a lot to me. So I hope you enjoy this episode.Remember, this season is about taking charge, so i hope you enjoy the ride! Ep 29- Transforming your pain into Laughter with Kendra Crump-Part III
*taps mic*, is this on? How's it going, dreamers? It's been quite some time since we last conversed. I apologize for being away from this long. I love what I do, and because of how much love I have for this, there is a standard I set to not falter from.  When you walk this journey, it cannot be easy, but it is worthwhile. So to avoid burnout, I elected to take a break. I'm back now, so let's continue to walk together. Someone once said that "Humor has the ability to help transform energy." I believe and share that sentiment.  When you endure life, it has a way at times of either making you feel buried underneath the struggles, or it allows you to transform both your perspective and your energy to something greater. Sometimes laughter is a great catalyst to the latter of two situations. This episode is truly incredible because I enjoyed speaking with comedian Kendra "Kyndra" Crump! This lovely woman isn't just a comedian; she's a future Dr of Psychology as well! In this episode, we converse on the musings of comedy, education, as well as being able to see past your pain and find a way to laugh again in life. As you know, our past can, at times, shackle us from walking towards our future. Given how important a topic this is, I wanted to get the perspective of someone who can help you laugh at both your pain and what you enjoy in life again. I'm so grateful to have so many supportive people like yourself who come back and still support me at the risk of repeating myself, and it truly means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy this episode.Remember, this season is about taking charge, so i hope you enjoy the ride! I couldn't have done this without you all!  Enjoy the episode because there are lots of gems here that hopefully enrich your life. I hope you all continue to drive toward the horizon. I will do the same. There's something truly remarkable about connecting with people through conversation; Episode 28  is here!!!As you know, our past can, at times, shackle us from walking towards our future. Given how important a topic this is, I wanted to get the perspective of someone that can help you love yourself again. In this episode, I spoke with a certified self-love coach, Kailin Vu! This incredible woman seeks to help others take on the lovely path of self-discovery and self-love. Throughout our conversation, you'll learn of her past and some of the things she had to overcome to get to the fulfilling life she is living today, what can limit us at times from letting go of the past, and so much more. This episode is the first in a series of episodes talking about not being defined by your past! We all make mistakes and get lost along the way, but that's okay! Sometimes we are held shackled to those mistakes and sometimes don't know how to forge ahead. Ep 26-The Melodic Conversation of Inspiration with Cody Jacob
I have to say, i really enjoy this, i really do. There's something truly remarkable about connecting with people through conversation; Episode 26 is here!!!I had the pleasure of sitting down with another Berkley prodigy in Cody Jacob! If you recognize Berkley's name, it's because Sydastry AND Pascal have both blended their voices and stories on this podcast and another project, respectively. Cody has the selfless and, at times, thankless job of being an educator but in music! He sits down with me to share how he got started in music and inspires his students through reliability and firm standards. We even talk "Little Shop of Horrors" and more!  I'm so grateful to have so many supportive people like yourself who come back and still support me at the risk of repeating myself, and it truly means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy this episode because I will be embarking on the first series of the season after this! So excited! Remember, this season is about taking charge, so i hope you enjoy the ride! I couldn't have done this without you all!  Enjoy the episode because there are lots of gems here that hopefully enrich your life. I hope you all continue to drive toward the horizon.
