In this episode I talk a bit about what I see in the movie Braveheart, specifically the movie as a grand bit of historical fantasy.

Today I talk about Mouse Guard, one of my favorite comic books (it may well be my favorite in fact) as well as comics in general, my thoughts on comedy, Celtic and Irish mythology, and of course, mice.

I wanted to talk about a fun medieval book. For some reason I chose the Silver Chair by CS Lewis. Prepare for a dive to the depths of the earth and the heights of heaven as I explore this allegory of being a conduit of Godly love.

For the inaugural episode of this iteration of The Lionskin Podcast, I talk about the most disagreeable part of The Lord of the Rings, which just happens to be the entire story’s summary. I also talk about ghosts, trees talking to each other, and I debut my own very simple arrangement of Rosin the Bow for mandolin, a traditional American, Scottish, and Irish tune from the early 1800s.
