Why are we seen as lazy, guilt-ridden, and unproductive when we choose to slow down, listen to our bodies, and rest during a "work" day?

What is the greater and deeper fear behind slowing down and resting?

What is our resistance to rest really indicating?

And why is there such guilt and shame when we slow down and take care of ourselves?

Key points:

  • What is it about a metaphorical pause that we so resist?
  • Naps are not seen as power moves in western culture. Naps can be seen as power moves when authority is already established.
  • There's peace and knowing that we can truly create a lifestyle that serves us.
  • How is the desire to control your image related to choosing extreme lifestyles? Culturally and individually?

And more!

As always, thank you for listening. You could be anywhere and you're here listening to me sing in a closet.  Thank you.
