10. Vision Part 3: Remaining Faithful in the Waiting
Do you have vision for your life in this season? How do we live with vision especially in times when our plans aren't coming to pass or our dreams seem ambiguous? In part 3 of this Vision series, we take a look at the life of Ruth and draw parallels for how we are to live as women with vision even when we're faced with devastation, the seemingly impossible, or unknown. Living as women with vision means we get to live with purpose and intention right where our feet are planted. In this episode, we'll talk about being faithful even when we don't see the promise, not waiting for the next thing, the next promotion, or for someone to notice us. May you be encouraged to hold on to the vision God has given you & walk in obedience to Christ right where you are today.  Receive my weekly dose of encouragement – You'll find a note from me to you in your inbox on Tuesdays that will encourage & spur you on in your week! 7. Staying Focused in the Storm
As life's storms continue on during this unprecedented time in history, we have a choice to remain focused in on Jesus or become distracted by the wind and the waves. In this episode, we talk about how to be of good courage during a time of difficulty and live as beacons of hope amidst the chaos. We take a look at Jesus' response to storms in life and the invitation He offers us to join Him in doing the impossible.  May the words of Martin Luther King Jr. spur you on and remind you of God's plan of unity & reconciliation in our world.  “God has a great plan for this world. His purpose is to achieve a world where all men will live together as brothers, and where every man recognizes the dignity and worth of all human personality. He is seeking at every moment of His existence to lift men from the bondage of some evil Egypt, carrying them through the wilderness of discipline, and finally to the promised land of personal and social integration. May it not be that this is entirely within the realm of possibility? I prefer to live by the faith that the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever,” Hallelujah! Hallelujah!" - “The Death of Evil upon the Seashore", 1956 Receive my weekly dose of encouragement – You'll find a note from me to you in your inbox on Tuesdays that will encourage & spur you on in your week! 6. Position Yourself in Praise
Praise & worship are some of our greatest spiritual weapons. In the valley and wilderness seasons, like King David in the Psalms, we can learn to praise God the most. We are created to worship & praise the Lord even in the hardest of seasons. In this week's episode, Megan shares personal experience praising God through the valleys and how God strengthened her from the inside out. We take a look at the posture of King David and Mary and are reminded the Lord fights our greatest battles (of the mind and the heart) while we are in positions of praise.  Take the praise challenge this week! Spend 10-20 minutes a day, undistracted, and intentionally postured in praising the Lord. Read through Psalm 100 and worship the Lord to your favorite worship songs. You can find some of my go to worship songs on my Spotify Playlist.  Get my weekly dose of encouragement – You'll receive a note from me to you in your inbox on Tuesdays that will encourage & spur you on in your week! 5. What To Do When Life Gets Heavy
Have you ever had a week or weeks where life and everything happening around you can start to weigh you down? This spirit of heaviness, as the Bible calls it, can impact our day to day effectiveness and steal our daily joys. During this Covid-19 season, many of us are feeling the effects of this spirit of heaviness.  On this episode, I share with you the tools I've utilized to overcome and live with a garment of praise instead of heaviness.  Get my weekly dose of encouragement – You'll receive a note from me to you in your inbox on Tuesdays that will encourage & spur you on in your week! 3. The World Needs Your Story
This week I share with you a little on my personal journey and my redemption story. We talk about the importance of knowing and telling others our testimony and how God has given each of us a redemption story to share with the people around us.  In Luke 8:39, Jesus says, "Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him." We are to go and tell of all Jesus has done in our lives. This time in history is our "for such a time as this" moment. What do we have to lose? God’s reward is so much greater than any discomfort we may have. His children are waiting to hear a message of hope, and you are the carrier of His hope through Christ Jesus! 2. Endurance of Hope
Endurance is a byproduct of hope. It builds in our life when we choose to walk in hope regardless of life's circumstances. This week, we build on the thought that growing in hope plays a pivotal part in us becoming people of strength and character. You'll hear about difficult seasons giving birth to increased endurance and how when we choose to endure, we grow in abilities and influence. We live in a time when the world needs more people who know how to endure when challenges and suffering come our way. We were created to be people of strength, people who endure until the end, and men & women who are full of hope.  Subscribe through your preferred podcast app and come find me on Instagram or Facebook!  Special thanks to Laura Hackett Park for the podcast's song. 1. Finding Hope in Uncertainty
It's the week after Easter and we are nearly one month in to quarantine life - a strange and beautiful time for us all. This week, I share on what it means to live and remain as a person full of hope, especially in a time of despair and uncertainty. We'll look at the disciples response after Jesus' death and burial and talk about our response to our world's circumstances today. Right now, the world is noisier than ever before, people are more isolated than before and our routines are turned upside down - even so, Jesus tells us to follow him and to remain in hope. Let's talk about being women full of purpose, knowing who we are in Christ, and walking in all the hope we have in Him!  Subscribe through your podcast app and come find me on instagram or facebook! @meganfranciswest Special thanks to Laura Hackett Park for the podcast's song.
