In honour of Bowel Cancer awareness, I wanted to chat to Chris about his side of the story when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Cancer back in August last year.
But in classic Duncan fashion, of course it’s not all doom and gloom 😂 We’re also talking about how hard being gluten free has been for Chris, mental breakdowns before 40, and why it’s so hard for men to go to the doctor. Is your husband like this too??
Submit your questions for our next episode of Sort Your Sh*t Out! Send them to me @danni.duncan_ or Chris over on @chrisduncan7
If you’re over 45, you can grab a free bowel cancer screening kit here. If you're under 45 and you really want to get yourself checked, the Jodi Lee Foundation is selling them here.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too busy, too tired, too old, too unsure, or too deep in motherhood to chase something for yourself, this episode is going to feel like a biiiiig exhale.
Today I’m chatting with the beautiful Colleen Callander. She was the CEO of Sportsgirl, she’s a mum, an author, a speaker, and honestly just one of those women who makes you feel like you can do big things too. She has sooo much wisdom around confidence, backing yourself, burnout, motherhood, ageing, and building a life that actually feels like yours.
In this episode, we’re talking about what it really looks like to stop waiting until you feel ready, start trusting yourself a little more, and remember that you are absolutely not done yet.
In this episode, we chat about:
> Why so many women wait until they feel “ready” before they do the thing, and how confidence actually comes from having a go
> That horrible little voice in your head telling you you’re too old, too young, not good enough, or everyone else is doing it better
> How motherhood can make you lose yourself a little bit, and why wanting something for yourself does not make you a bad mum
> What burnout looked like for Colleen at 36, and the changes she had to make so she could actually feel like herself again
> How to stop comparing yourself to everyone else
> Why life after 50 can be bloody exciting!!
If you want to connect with Colleen, you can find her on Linkedin here, or on IG @colleen_callander

Who should avoid Ozempic? Who is Ozempic for? What are the side effects no one is talking about?
Today’s episode is Part 2 of my interview with Amelia Phillips, a nutritionist, exercise scientist and co-founder of Vitality 360, to help us unpack Ozempic, GLP-1 medications and what women in midlife really need to know before considering them.
In Part 1 we spoke about what actually changes in perimenopause, why weight can feel harder to shift, how much of it is hormones versus lifestyle, fasting, protein, and the very inconvenient truth that yes… calories still matter.
BUT we ran out of time right as we were about to get into the stuff everyone has questions about.
So today we’re talking about Ozempic, GLP-1 medications, healthy fats, longevity, and what a 3-step plan could look like if you’re a woman in midlife who wants to lose weight without losing your mind.

We recorded this from a bath in Bali…
Em and I have just wrapped my 8th retreat and are equal parts cooked, sweaty and ready to unpack everything that happened. What started as chaos (and a few random tangents) turned into some pretty honest chats about why people hold themselves back, why everything feels so hard, and what needs to change so that people can start being happy again.
Also… if you’ve ever been personally victimised by chocolate, other people’s opinions, or Bali humidity… you’ll feel seen.
I’ve also already locked in the next two retreats, so if you’re sitting there thinking “I need something like this”... come. 2026 Byron Bay Retreat is here, 2027 Bali Retreat is here.

I got a phone call a few weeks ago and as someone who used to work in a doctors clinic - it’s never a good sign to get a phone call before the weekend.
Genuinely - I was watching my kids and thinking I wouldn’t see them grow up.

Does a 7 time Olympian have their life and motherhood together?
This is one of the first questions I asked, Libby Trickett. I’m sure she needs no explanation but just in case - Libby is an ex competitive swimmer who was a gold medalist in not one but THREE Olympics, and held the world record for the 100m free style.
We’re chatting about everything, including why being an Olympian does not mean you have your life together, what it’s like going from being the best in the world, to living a normal life, and what she’s seeing happening too often with kids and sport right now (this part’s really interesting).
We chat about:
> “What did we even do before kids?” because somehow there was SO much time and now there’s none
> Libby’s morning routine with 5 kids
> Getting five kids out the door in the morning (and how that that alone feels like a huge win)
> The devastating race Libby didn’t watch for 15 years… and what happened when she finally did
> The shift in your 40s where you genuinely don’t give a f about what other people think of you
> That feeling of “am I even doing a good job?” (and why it doesn’t just go away)
> Why we’re seeing less “body trust” in women + how that all links back to kids not moving as much
… and SO much more
If you want more of Libby you can follow her on IG @libby_trickett.

A few weeks ago, Chris and I announced that we’re running the New York Marathon… and it still feels slightly ridiculous to say out loud.
Because if you had told me years ago that running would become such a big part of my life, I wouldn’t have believed you. And I know a lot of you listening probably feel the same.
“I’m not a runner.”
That’s exactly why I wanted to have this conversation.
Today I’m joined by Anna from Adventure Time Travel, who has run more than 40 marathons all over the world and helped thousands of people cross finish lines they once thought were completely out of reach.
If you’ve ever wondered whether running a marathon is something you could do, what it feels like to finish the New York Marathon and what kind of changes lie ahead for you… Then this is for you.
Stick around to find out:
> Why so many people tell themselves they’re “not a runner”… and what actually changes when that story shifts
> What it feels like standing on the start line of a marathon for the first time
> The moments during a race that stay with you long after you cross the finish line
> What goes through your head when things get hard… and how people keep going
> What Anna has seen in thousands of runners once they finally say yes to something that scares them
> What she would say to you if you’ve ever thought about running a marathon… but haven’t signed up yet

Right now there is SO much chatter around ultra-processed foods.
We’ve got headlines about processed meats and cancer risk, food companies being sued in the US, and suddenly the term UPF (or ultraprocessed foods) is everywhere.
And yet I think most people are still pretty confused because the food companies have deliberately made it difficult to figure out.
You walk through the supermarket and you see things like:
natural flavours
no added sugar
no added MSG
gluten free
…and it all sounds pretty healthy.
But when you turn the packet around, the ingredient list can tell a very different story.
Today I’m chatting with Jo from Additive Free Lifestyle to talk about it all - you’ve probably seen her stuff online before because she is an absolute powerhouse in this space.
A taste of what you’ll hear:
> The first things you should be looking at when reading ingredients list at the supermarket
> What to do when everyone around you keeps trying to feed your kids treats and sugar
> The most common marketing claims you should avoid
> How are ‘flavours’ even made (this one will shock you)
> The effects ultraprocessed foods are having on our appetites and taste preferences
> Approaching birthday parties when you don’t want your kids to come home with insane energy levels
> What it’s really like to live without ultra-processed foods
> The difference Jo saw in her daughter’s behaviour as soon as she started cutting out snacks with artificial flavouring
… and SO much more
If you want more of Jo and are keen to see her tips, you can check her out on IG @additivefreelifestyle or visit her website www.additivefreelifestyle.com. And if you want to try Jo’s hidden additives app, you can find it here.

Why does weight loss in midlife suddenly feel impossible?
You’re told to eat less… but more protein. Fast… but don’t stress your hormones. Lift weights… but also prioritise recovery. Sleep more… but also train harder.
And then when none of it works the way it used to, you’re told: “It’s your hormones.”
So you think, great, I’ll fix my hormones.
And then that doesn’t magically fix your weight either.
Today we’re actually going to untangle this properly. I’m joined by Amelia Phillips - nutritionist, exercise scientist, and someone who spends a lot of time working with women in midlife navigating exactly this.
I’m asking Amelia questions like:
> How to do you know if you’re pre peri-menopausal, peri-menopausal or menopausal
> What actually changes during the body in perimenopause that affects weight specifically?
> Does fasting create more stress and inflammation for women?
> Who should definitely avoid fasting?
> How do I increase my protein while still reducing my calories?
… and SO much more
