Dr. Ray Trantham oversees the program and he has done a remarkable job in making Odessa Seminary have what I think is one of the best outcome based missionary leadership programs anywhere. Beyond Snakes and Shamrocks - An Interview with Dr Ross A. Lockhart on St Patrick's Missional Lessons for Today
In this interview, Dr. Marcel Mitchell interviews Dr Ross Lockhart about his recently released book titled Beyond Snakes and Shamrocks - St. Patrick's Missional Leadership Lessons for Today. Dr. Lockhart is the founding director of The Centre of Missional Leadership at St Andrew's Hall at the University of British Columbia. The book looks at the "cultural Christianity" of Roman Britain in which St. Patrick was raised, the transformation of his life while in captivity in Ireland, and after escaping slavery, his training for ministry in France. Some years later because of "Vox Hibernia" (The Call of Ireland) St Patrick returns to Ireland and leads one of the greatest national conversions to Christianity recorded in history. Dr Lockhart takes this interesting bit of 5th and 6th Century Irish / British history, the missionary work of St Patrick and compares it with the Post-Christian culture of the Cascadia region of North America. Through this comparison Dr Lockhart addresses the contemporary missional lessons that can be learned. This is the best missional book I have read to date!

Interview with Geoff Hartt of Hispanics for Christ
Geoff Hartt is a pastor in Wilsonville, Oregon and is also the Executive Director of Hispanics for Christ.  Hispanics for Christ has a none-traditional missionary approach of advancing the Kingdom of God through a greater use of indigenous workers via in-country leadership development.  The result has been amazing! Indigenous church leaders have be able to advanced the Kingdom in the global-south far more greatly than through the traditional means of supporting Western missionaries and sending them.  Additionally, western nations, where Christianity in serious decline, can learn a great deal from the Hispanics for Christ model.  If you would like to know more about Hispanics for Christ, and Geoff Hartt, or support their work then please click here.
