Life in Transition!
Life in Transition!
Yve
Life happens in stages, transitions to be exact. The beauty comes when we are aware of the transitions we are going through and take the necessary steps in order to enjoy, learn, and positively experience these transitions. Some transitions are our doing, others occur due to life's circumstances. Either way, being aware is the best way to live through the transitions of life.

End of the Year Traditions
Growing up, I remember watching my mom clean the house from top to bottom, reaching every single corner making sure everything was top notch clean! She would say, "we need to start the new year the way we want it to continue". She believed, if we started the new clean and ready, the rest of the year would go much the same. It was not a way to avoid the difficulties, but to start on the right foot. I would like to encourage you to do the same thing, but for your mind, body, and soul. I would like to encourage you to take some time in the next few days to clean up your mind and soul and start writing down your dreams and goals for the coming new year.

Determining Your Seasons
Have you ever done something without being sure why? What are those little things that give you cues that you are exiting or entering a different level in your life? For me, it is when I get the urge to do something that is outside of my ordinary or the need to start a new project. Usually, the details within that project will let me know what that season or level may entail. Two years ago, I got a funky haircut that was not me. In hindsight, I realized that this was me getting ready to enter an uncomfortable season. I encourage you to take time to reflect and figure out what the season you are in entails or find out as much as you can about what the one you are about to enter.

A Lifestyle of Giving
During the holiday season, one of the things that always catches my attention is how much easier it is for people to be kind, share, and give. I would like to challenge you, if I may, to take that into the rest of the year until it becomes a lifestyle rather than something we do two holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) out of the year.  For the sake of being official, let's call, Giving 365. Make it a point to give something of yourself every day of the year, whether it is giving your time, advice, talents, gifts, money, etc...

Holiday Loneliness
Does the holiday season bring the joy out of you or does it make you feel more alone than usual? I encourage you to take some time to reflect and evaluate the reason behind the loneliness that you feel. Whether you live alone or surrounded by family and friends yet still feel alone, the holiday seasons can be tough to go through. I stand in prayer with you that this year will be different.

Are You Putting Too Much Pressure on Getting Married?
It is OK to desire to be married, but we have to be careful not to make it the end all be all. When we meet someone we are interested in, it is easy to fall into the trap of planning our future with them, without their consent-not cool! So, let a date be a date-no extra pressure needed.

Conventional is not for Everyone
Is there something you would love to do, but the way you want to go about it is not the traditional way? Go for it! One of the best things about the advancement of technology is the new and creative ways it allows us to get things done. If a 4-year degree what you want to do, go for it. If starting a blog or YouTube channel or opening an online business what fits your personality, go for it! Don't settle for traditions and conventionalism (I hope that is a word-if not, I take degree for it...).
