run in Osaka last weekend. Ethan first came on the podcast a couple months ago after he ran 2:11 at the Kobe Marathon. At this point, he was still relatively unknown to American distance running fans, but after a 1:01 half-marathon in the build to Osaka, he knew something special was possible!Adopting Japanese racing-style, Ethan went out hard at Osaka, around 2:05 high, 2:06 low pace and was able to hang on for an epic 2:07 marathon. This time puts him 7th on the all-time US list after names like Conner Mantz and Galen Rupp. The crazy part is he did this while being unsponsored. Now - Ethan has agents and sponsors contacting him and he will be signing a professional contract likely this week.
