White privilege
I stumbled upon this podcast while seeking content about Caroline Calloway. Towards the end of Part 1, I began to tire of the frequent use of the phrase “White privilege”, but I was still willing to give the podcast a chance. Within minutes of Part 2, the phrase was continually used ad nauseam to the point that I found it too disturbing to listen. WhPriv not a compliment. It is the definition of perpetual mediocrity where pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is a completely foreign concept; ironically used by the same people who are so quick to call other groups of people “lazy” & “always looking for a handout”. WPriv is an embarrassment & nothing to be proud of. It is a despicable problem created by & shamefully sustained by white people & their own selfish, bad, unethical, unkind, & unfair behavior with the complete absence of integrity or ethics. Not to mention how the vast majority are confused about its meaning & frequently misuse the phrase. Regardless of my own ethnicity, I find everything about this term hypocritical of what America claims to be. We cannot simultaneously create & perpetuate WPriv while honoring the spoken words of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Pledge of Allegiance & Star Spangled Banner. The same group of people cannot simultaneously embrace both… at least not in good conscience. To do so is simply impossible.

Oof
A friend shared this podcast with me. Led with the TRT episode. I dunno why he shared it with me other than I’ve been studying the TRT topic for years and therapies for better health outcomes. So I’m very well studied on the topic from a clinical standpoint, not anecdotal. The TRT episode was so poorly researched I don’t understand why it was put out. There was a lot of extremely vague statements made about its reasoning, health benefits, health risks. This was a topic covered by 2 people that had no mind for why people would need this technology and may have just used a little chat gpt to build the episode and that’s is. And if they did that, shame on them because we know AI models don’t get it right a lot of the time with its response data. I would say at least entertaining but… meh, it was sort of funny at times but yeah I would dump this episode. But it makes me think the rest of their complex topics are equally poorly researched. If anyone is doing their PHD on hormone therapy, be sure to not use this episode. I stopped the episode when they started talking about politics and health and they were taking it seriously.

Jon generous ep
If you’re new and trying to decide which episode to start with, I recommend the Jon Generous episode. That, or the Caroline Calloway episodes. Pat’s shock laughter kills me every time 😂🤣😂🤣😂

Cool hosts. Fun stories. I appreciate how they give a lot of credit to the journalists who break the stories they discuss.

Enthusiastic, funny, and salty
I love it when they review whether or not the fraudsters actions were worthwhile in a pragmatic sense.  Production values should be higher so if you can be a patron at a notable level, please do. I have no idea when I left a review before but at the time I complained about the production values but they’ve improved because I don’t notice them anymore. Although my recent review discusses other podcasts I’m doing so because I suspect most of the listeners and the hosts are intelligent and curious people who are interested in other equally interesting podcasts. On the episode of May 7, 2025 regarding Alan Todd May, Kath commented that people outside the US know more about Texas than just that it exists. If any of you want to have your  mind blown about just how much people worldwide know about the US and our politics give The Bugle a listen. John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman started the podcast, until John Oliver became the Senior British correspondent for Jon Stewart from 2006- 2013. Andy hosts the podcast with a rotating cast of comedians from Scotland, Ireland, England, New Zealand, Australia, and the US. There may be some from Canada and other Anglophone nations but I’m not sure. It’s a great show. I listen to Kath and Jake regularly and have recommended them in other formats. I caution listeners to beware of Jake’s salty language but it doesn’t bother me. (There’s a lot of interesting research on the effect of swearing on the speaker and John McWhorter has discussed the evolution of the language of swearing on Lexicon Valley.) The chemistry between cohosts is always important and these two do, regardless of whether or not Jake talks over Kath.

Kath is great. Pat’s compulsive need to interrupt every 5 seconds to add nothing to the conversation is not. Stop talking over her, jfc. I finally had to unsubscribe because I wanted to hear scam stories, not Pat’s attempt to derail the podcast into his personal standup.

Laughed while I actually learned something
This is so entertaining and the topics are always interesting. One of the best podcasts.

Great job!
I’ve been listening for a few weeks now. I love the humor you both bring to the research and the stories. Hilarious at times, but very deep commentary on society as well, a great balance. It’s a super chill way of listening and learning about the art of the con. Thank you!

How I love thee!

One of my favorites
These two are such wonderful and good hearted, interesting people. They pick interesting topics and their good nature makes the whole experience like hanging out with two friends. I’ve been listening for a couple of years and I’m really impressed with how they’ve grown but stayed true to the spirit of the show. Highly recommended!!! Update: we have a toddler now and this never fails to lull her to sleep for some reason. I wish the intro song wasn’t twice as loud as the rest of the podcast but we are well-practiced now in turning the volume all the way down when we start the episode until Pat starts talking

Perfect Blend!
On topic without being boring, enough hilarious off topic commentary without being annoying. A favorite in my podcast library.

Great entertaining listen
I’ve been listening to LCS podcast since the early days and I always appreciate the banter between the hosts and the interesting (& varied) stories they tell. The production value is on the “DIY” side, but still an entertaining listen.

Okay, hear me out
I really love you both. Love the content and your delivery overall. I know this is a labor of love and life ain’t cheap. All that said, I’ll listen no matter what but I really want you to invest in better mics/equipment. Whatever the stuff is that makes you sound as great as you actually are!

Factual errors
Enjoyed a few episodes, but after hearing the second episode that contained a basic factual misstep, will not continue listening

This is the greatest podcast I’ve ever heard
I love it.

Pat and Kath are hilarious. They always do great research and the jokes are always on point. Keep it up, this world is never short of grifters.

Nice
Such a fun, lowkey podcast with great subjects and funny hosts. I’m subscribed to the patreon because getting more episodes of the show is so worth it.

Don’t cover murders without respecting the victims.
Normally enjoy this podcast, but the Murdaugh ep is extremely disappointing. STEPHEN SMITH — SAY HIS NAME! Only calling him “this kid” is disrespectful and dehumanizing. Also, he likely was murdered in a hate crime that was staged to look like a hit and run. The lack of thorough research is offensive, but less so than the total failure to even speak his name. RIP STEPHEN SMITH

Love the show
It’s a casual vibe. Both Pat and Kath are great storytellers. They also don’t moralize the stories which is refreshing. Cancelled my other Patreon sub to join theirs.

Love the show but….
I love the show topics but girl please drop the laughing cow sidekick 😳😳 all he does is laugh adds nothing to the show ! His jokes are not funny!!! Laughing at his own jokes😡😡😡😡 girl you keep it up!

my absolute favorite :)
interesting topics you won’t hear anywhere else and funny convos. i’m tearing through the back catalogue so i had to join their patreon too. i love kath and pat’s side conversations plus they’re both great storytellers.

Hilarious
Pat is side-splittingly funny and seems like a good dude. Could not stop laughing at the Jeff Jarrett episode!
Jeffwu78
Seth Rogan is funny but…
Seth Rogan is a funny dude, but if you’ve ever heard him when he’s stoned, his constant laugh and loss of thoughts is obnoxious and hard to listen to. Pat constantly sounds like high Seth Rogan and it’s impossible to listen to. Great topics that few others cover but some voices just weren’t meant for radio.

Can’t do it
They seem to care more about entertaining themselves than the subject of the podcast.

Huge Fan!
Love the obscure scam stories they dig up

Great concept, terrible delivery
I really like the concept of this podcast, but it's irreparably damaged by the terribly delivery of the hosts. You would think that if you're going to create a podcast that you would have the ability to speak in a relatively clear manner that's pleasant and enjoyable to listen to -- not here! Pat's delivery comes across as incoherent, stumbling and bumbling along with a "stream of conscousness" vibe. Kath isn't quite a bad but it still seems like it's generally an off-the-cuff, low-effort podcast. Also, can't really stand the banter and personal issues between the hosts. I'll keep this in my podcast app when i have nothing else to listen to but it's a struggle to listen to these two regardless of how interesting the topic might be.

Informative and entertaining
These two have great chemistry and make me laugh while learning about some of the worst people. They both bring a great perspective and some genuinely funny commentary.

Nope
Huge podcast fan here… I tried this for exactly one episode. I don’t know why the lady lets the guy be a part of this at all… He’s constantly interjecting nonsense but I guess they’re supposed to be funny but isn’t? Can’t.
eStacey954
Bummer...
The last episode was horrible. I was looking for an escape from politics and now you’re involving them again.

Good idea, could use more clear podcast separations or more structure
Interesting, wish it was a bit more segmented (so it’s easier for me to skip through to important parts). A little hard to follow at first, but a lot of potential.

Practical advice for life
I binged through the whole free catalog before I caved and became a Patreon subscriber. It took me a long to realize there are zero. ZERO. ads on this podcast and it was really refreshing. The topics are dope, the commentary is bomb, and the hosts are too legit to quit. Kath and Pat can scam me any day.

Such a fun listen - deep dives on scams
I just discovered this podcast and I’ve listened to it nonstop for the last week or so. I love a good scam and it’s great hearing these two break them down.
SadieHawkins85
Great Topics, but PLEASE Edit Out Breaths
Pat and Kath cover amazing topics, and I think they have the right balance of extemporaneous talk and on-topic coverage. But I never knew that breathing could be so WET. There’s no need to keep in each loud, moist inhale of Pat’s. Other than that, I really enjoy the pod, but it makes it SO hard to listen to.
Rachel from We're All Mad Here
Like the host/heists but needs editing
I like their banter but they need to edit out the “what’s that noise?” Or side talk that leads nowhere because you don’t get much of the scam for a hour and it’s sometimes hard to follow. “Scam Goddess” pod does a better job and is funnier as is “HEIST” podcast. but I really like Kath’s voice. LCS pulled a scam on the listeners making 2 of 3 episodes free on Apple and episode 3 behind a paywall. Almost unsub’d for that trick.

Used to be OK
Had some good stories, but has turned into a sadboi leftist rant. Can’t tell if they don’t like criminals or if they just resent anyone who is smarter or richer than them. Seething with resent and whining about billionaires. Can’t stomach it any longer.🤷‍♂️
Taddfab
Informative but Funny
The stories they tell are really interesting and very informative. They cover a lot of stories that I haven’t heard of, or are not super popular. Since they are comedians they offer a funny twist on each episode & I really like the rapport between the two!

Loved the pod from day 1 and I subscribe to the Patreon. They’re worth the money. If you like the subject matter then you’ll love the way Pat and Kath interpret it.

I Like It!
I love both the hosts, they are funny and pick good topics. I even like that they don’t edit out mistakes. It’s raw. I’m with it.
