More about Trevor...
Hi! I’m Trevor Ragan,
I have the best job in the world.
My time is divided into three buckets:
1. Learning
Reading is a great tool for learning, and I read a ton. However, I find that the best learning takes place during interaction with others and actual conversation. I often observe teachers and coaches, and hang try to hang out with as many researchers as I can.
2. Producing Content
Writing the articles, producing the videos, and recording the podcasts is the toughest part of the job, but I love it. We focus on making it fun, useful, and easy to understand. I’m proud of how we model our content and I’m excited for it to evolve.
3. Facilitating Workshops
Since 2014 I’ve delivered a few hundred workshops to people of all ages and all walks of life. I’ve worked in prisons, with MLB teams, Olympic teams, Fortune 500 Companies, and 200+ schools.
Workshops are my greatest strength. Each one makes me better and I’m beyond grateful to have so many awesome reps with a wide range of groups that allows me to do what I love.
There would be no website without my amazing mentors, teachers, and the incredible people who have shared their work with me along the way. It’s because of them that I’m able to do this.
I am so excited to keep learning together!

Blended Learning was an instructional practice being discussed and shared years before COVID hit the educational system in March of 2022. However, COVID did amplify the need for this instructional practice with educators finding themselves needing to engage students both socially and cognitively now remotely. Two years later and with schools back in session, there are still elements of Blended Learning that stuck around and some that have fallen back to the wayside.
Instructional Designers, Jarod Bormann and Melissa Wicklund discuss with Matt Miller of Ditch That Textbook what impact COVID had on Blended Learning and what still continues to be utilized today.
