Level Up Content Play
Level Up Content Play
Ryo Leong
I have proven that “old dogs can learn new tricks”.Like other Gen X marketers, I honed my craft in marketing centering on tradition media. In fact, I helmed marketing and subsequently content functions in Singapore’s national broadcaster. But as digital marketing emerged, I found myself struggling to keep up with all the new trends and platforms. The speed of change is constantly accelerating. Amidst the frustrations and confusion, there was also the pressure to deliver some form of measurable success… and to repeat them. Then it dawned on me. I had been a dog chasing after its own tail. Every new “toy” is exciting, but I could never catch it. Instead of trying to learn every new platform and trend from scratch, I learned to make sense of them building from the knowledge that I already possessed in marketing and media. After all, although the tools can change, the fundamental functions and concepts will remain. LEVEL UP CONTENT PLAY is a series that looks at principles to improve Digital and Content Marketing Strategy. We will see why we can MASTER new tricks BECAUSE we are "old dogs".~ Every Move Is Strategic ~Subscribe and join me to uncover more fundamental principles that will save you from making costly mistakes.Find out more at https://contentplayhq.comFollow me atLinkedInYouTubeInstagramFacebookMedium

More Examples for Creating Intangible Value
Further to the previous episode where I touched on WHY it is important to create intangible value in order to stand out from the competition, this is a response to some who wanted to have more examples of "intangible proposition".I have chosen examples from the Furniture and Restaurant industry sectors to illustrate. If you belong to these sectors, do let me know if the examples make sense and if you want to have a chat to explore how to apply it to your brand.

Best Way to Stand Out: Create Intangible Value
All brands need to have Unique Selling Proposition that will differentiate them from the competition. However, in this time and age, any new physical feature or offering can be copied easily. To be truly unique and to stand out, we need to create intangible value. Intangible values are difficult to be emulated. They also connect better to emotions, which will enable your brand to be more strongly tied to your customers.
