Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: Align your values and decisions Discover who you are Believe in your capabilities Own your strengths Surround yourself with similar energy Episode Highlights: [06:11] Know Your Values You need tools or a coach to help you get unstuck. Comfort is the opposite of change. People often find excuses to stay in their comfort zone even if it makes them unhappy. You must find out your values and align them with your decisions. Determine your driving forces. Once you do, you’ll be able to make stronger, more confident decisions. It also allows you to stay in your values while honoring other people’s values. [14:23] Discovering Yourself By discovering yourself, you’ll be able to show up more alive and authentic. Knowing who you are is empowering and helps you grow and keep growing into the fullest version of yourself. It also helps you detect burnout before it happens and give yourself the space you need. [20:10] Five Areas You Should Focus On To find out what aligns with who you are, focus on these five areas:  belief, celebration, visualization, boundaries, and values. Shift your mindset to believe you can change your life and achieve your dreams. Determine the skills you can bring to the table. Set boundaries. [28:25] Own Your Strengths You won’t find fulfillment if your career is misaligned with your values. Recognize your worth and know when you’re being undervalued. It is important to own your strengths. [35:33] Attracting Like Energy Emotions are energy in motion. They are neither good nor bad. When you listen to your emotions and don’t give them power over you, you can live in a fuller, more authentic way. Energy attracts like energy. It allows you to lean on other people with similar energy in a healthy manner. E07: Want to Live Your Best Life? Put Your Blinders On
Where are your eyes — on the dream you are pursuing or on things that do not serve you? If you are doing something yet you are constantly worrying about the possible outcome, the worst-case scenario, what other people are doing, the haters that will never have anything good to say, then that means your attention is divided. And divided attention will only drive you off course. Join me today as we talk about why it’s so important to put on blinders when pursuing your dreams and goals. Success is a matter of consistent effort and putting one hoof before the other. So keep those eyes straight and locked on the future you want to build for yourself. Listen to this episode to find out how to empower your life and self through self-discovery! Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: Surround yourself with people who support you Let go of the things that don’t serve you Focus on what matters Keep moving forward and believe in yourself Release negative thoughts and emotions Episode Highlights: [02:27] Putting Your Blinders On What do you think “putting your blinders on” means? Horses usually wear blinders so they won’t get distracted by other things. You need to put your blinders on when you have dreams and goals. Surround yourself with people who will support you. [06:43] Putting Blinders On Your Personal and Professional Life Putting your blinders on can apply to your personal and professional life. With personal relationships, it may mean letting something or someone go. Be willing to release your expectations of someone else and move forward with love and care. Avoid getting caught up in what other people are doing. Focus on what matters most. Choose to provide value to other people and the world. Make the right decisions instead of constantly worrying. [15:28] Keep Your Joy Wallowing in anger and negative emotions is a waste of time and energy. Redirect that into the things that truly matter to you. Do not let anything steal your joy. Just keep going and be consistent. You can become a better person for others when you learn to put your blinders on. Resources Mentioned: Match Canna Level After Next Website

E06: Don’t Outsource Your Happiness
Many of us delegate the duty of making ourselves happy to the world. When we’re unhappy, we blame other people or our situation  — but have you ever thought that maybe you are the one making yourself unhappy? Are you unhappy because of something that happened or is unhappiness a response that you can control? Join me today as we talk about how you can take responsibility for your own happiness. Once you realize that you are responsible for your happiness, nothing in the world will ever have the power to make you unhappy again. Listen to this episode to find out how you can start taking your happiness into your own hands and why it’s imperative as entrepreneurs that we make it a priority. Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: Respond to things in a healthy and positive way Be grateful for the things you have Learn your triggers Find what makes you happy Episode Highlights: [03:30] Taking Responsibility for Your Happiness It’s obvious when people aren’t taking responsibility for their happiness. A telltale sign is that they are constantly upset about their insecurities or frustrations. You should find joy in your journey — and that’s why the small victories matter. You cannot control everything but you can control your emotions. Appreciate the things you have. Give yourself the space and time to be disappointed and sad, but accept it and move forward. [11:15] Getting Un-triggered Think about what your triggers are. They might be something as simple as spilling coffee or bigger, like negative news. You’ve got to learn how to get yourself out of that triggered state. Wallowing in these triggers can cause long periods of unhappiness. [18:23] Find What Makes You Happy Remember that you can be happy — and that you deserve to be happy. You can start by spending more time on your hobbies or finding a new one. It’s your responsibility to find what makes you happy. Unless you find the things that bring you joy, you’ll be stuck in bad days. Resources Mentioned: Level After Next Website

E05: The 12 Rules of Leadership
We’ve all had a nightmare boss. We might even be the nightmare boss ourselves and not realize it! It’s time we dig deep and really think about what we want in a leader. I’ll have you thinking twice about your leaders — or about your own leadership! — after listening to this podcast. If only there was a guidebook on how to be a good leader. Team members may have feedback but no idea what to do with it. Bosses themselves may feel lost without a point of reference. Lucky for you, I’ve got the next best thing! Join me today as I cover all things leadership. I’ll help leaders, people working under a leader, and leaders-to-be all put the role into a different perspective. If you want tips on how to be a leader with integrity, I’ve got you covered. Listen to this episode where I dive deep into the 12 Rules of Leadership! Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: Humility is one of the greatest qualities you can have as a leader Treat your team with respect and earn theirs Have integrity in everything that you do Trust in your capabilities as a leader Episode Highlights: [02:54] Leading with Humility When Katie was wondering how she could level up her own leadership, she learned about the 12 Rules of Leadership in a training session. The first two rules revolve around humility; leaders aren’t any more important than their team members just because they've achieved a title. Listen to the full episode for Katie’s deep dive into each of the 12 Rules of Leadership! [12:41] Learning to Listen As a leader, you’re expected to teach, advise, and help your team, but it’s just as important to listen. Sometimes, people just need to be heard and understood. It’s important to not only treat your team with respect but to be a leader deserving of theirs. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them; give credit where to your team where it is due — understand and you will be understood. [23:47] Being There for Your Team Lead by example. You can’t just tell people to work on things that you don't want to work on — otherwise, you’re not leading; you’re shouting out orders. Being there for your team also means helping them create boundaries and strike a work-life balance. Build human connections with them, not just the typical work relationship. [28:26] You Are the Boss Trust in yourself. Trust in your ability to make swift, sound decisions — but don’t stop there. When things don’t go as planned, analyze the situation and see what could have been done better. Remember that you are a leader for a reason. You don't have to make all the right decisions all the time, but without your skills and judgment, you wouldn’t be in that position in the first place. Put them to good use and get the job done. E04: Stop Faking It, Start Showing Up
We’ve all known the saying, “Fake it ‘til you make it,” but should we really be faking anything? I I say “no,” I’m not here for that. There’s nothing to fake if we know where we are going, who we want to become, and we strive to live authentically. It’s high time we rethink our mantras because the things we tell ourselves dictate our reality. I assure you that you won’t have to fake anything after listening to this podcast. So, what does being authentic even mean? How do you show up as yourself when it’s so easy to question your whole being? You might not know it yet but your story and journey can give value to others. It may feel scary to share the more personal details of your life but, sometimes, it’s the private stories that resonate with people. Join me today as I dispel the notion of faking it ‘til you make it and discuss why you shouldn’t be saying it anymore. I also dive into why you should share your journey and show up as your true self online. If you want tips on how to ride out the low moments, I’ve got you covered. Listen to this episode if you want to start showing up more authentically. Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: Stop saying “faking it ‘till you make it” because you won’t Choose to show up authentically Control your reality by controlling your thoughts Anyone can provide value Share your journey with others Let your core identity guide you on the path to becoming authentic Lift yourself up during low moments by raising other people up Episode Highlights: [00:34] Don’t Fake It ‘Til You Make It Stop “faking it ‘til you make it.” Instead, show up authentically. Faking it could really mean that you don’t believe in yourself deep down. What we say to ourselves matters because we can unknowingly amplify these thoughts, especially if they are negative. [03:59] Provide Value by Showing Up and Sharing Your Journey Some people doubt themselves more quickly than others. There will be times when you don’t feel confident and that’s okay. Sharing your journey can inspire other people to start their own journeys as well. Remember to always provide value to others. [09:06] How to Live Authentically and Keep Going Dig deep into what your core identity is. When other people tell you about how you’ve made an impact on their lives, keep going — this is proof that whatever you’re doing is working and that you’re showing up authentically. If you’re feeling down, it might help to try to lift somebody else up. We tend to internalize the things we teach, so if you help someone when you’re struggling, you might start to feel better about yourself as well. E03: Transforming the CBD Landscape with Match Canna
Full disclosure: I have used every CBD product under the sun, and I generally use it for anxiety, and sometimes, pain. But the CBD oils I've tried before have either done absolutely nothing for me, or they got me high at inappropriate times. Finally, when I got hold of Match Canna’s oil and used it for my anxiety attack, I couldn’t tell you how much relief I got from it (minus the highs!) that I knew I just had to bring the makers on the show today. Founded by Maggy Troup and Christina Rivera, Match Canna was born as a “true collaboration of minds, spirits, and souls.” Whether you’re experiencing chronic pain, suffering from stress and anxiety, or you just need some good night’s sleep, find out how Match Canna’s consciously sourced and handcrafted products can alleviate pain, help you find relief, and impact your life. Maggy and Christina also share their recipe for a beautiful, authentic friendship and business partnership! Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: How a unique friendship started How Match Canna was conceived Navigating the business The makings of a great partnership About their products and their benefits The differences between CBD oils, full-spectrum, and THC-free products Choosing the right product to use What makes their products stand out Other health uses of cannabis Episode Highlights: [10:37] The Birth of Match Canna Match Canna originated when Maggy’s brother Charles, who was Christina’s then-boyfriend and now husband, was experiencing debilitating back pain. After four months of research, Christina created a natural product that instantly gave Charles relief. As a massage therapist, Maggy then started incorporating it with her clients. Match Canna’s products offer a wide range of health benefits such as reducing inflammation, pain, spasms, skin issues, and anxiety. [19:21] An Overview of the Products Christina has infused botanicals into a magical recipe of oils that targets pain and inflammation. It smells great and it works well. Match Canna offers both topical and sublingual products including, the full-spectrum and a THC-free product. The sublingual oils, the THC-free, as well as the full-spectrum, have different uses, but they all target chronic systemic pain, inflammation, and anxiety. [28:44] Choosing the Right Product to Use Choosing the right product is a big starting point because there are so many mislabeled products out there. Often people will be using a product that has higher amounts of THC than is actually legal. But because of the lax regulations on the CBD market, they are getting away with it. The key is HOW you take it, WHEN you take it, and WHAT FOR because that's going to make a huge difference. THC, for instance, can exacerbate anxiety. And to be considered a CBD product in the United States, it has to have 0.3% THC or less. Resources Mentioned: https://matchcanna.com/ (Use the code LEVELUP and get 20% off.) E02: Adding in Good Habits & Breaking the Bad Ones
Ready to get the thing that you want the most? Well, I’ve got to be honest with you. It takes grit, passion, dedication, resilience, and 100% hard work to get to the next level – and the level after next. While it may sound scary, it doesn’t have to be. Fear only exists when you don’t have enough confidence in your toolkit and when you’re not in the best state – physically, emotionally, and mentally. And it’s all a matter of figuring out our next best steps and stacking good habits while breaking the bad ones. Join me today as I talk about how you can take full responsibility for your success, your plans, and your dreams. You’ve got to put in the time and effort to get the results you want – and listening to this episode is definitely a great start! Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: A 7-year-old boy’s story of talent and commitment We should stop making excuses Circumstance means nothing The story of “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse” Just taking the next step Keeping your state in check How your habits drive your behavior The idea of habit stacking Breaking your bad habits (e.g. social media) Episode Highlights: [05:42] Figuring Out Your Next Best Step A lot of people make a lot of excuses as to why they can’t achieve what they want to achieve, whether in business or in life. Excuses are everywhere. But how come other people are able to overcome those excuses and use those as fuel? Anybody can make anything happen, if only they choose to put their mind to it. Circumstance means nothing. Whether you were in a horrible divorce, you’re a single parent, or you have to work multiple jobs, you have to make that choice to take full responsibility for your future. [09:33] Do You See the Next Step? It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. But just focus on the next step. The question, however, is do you see that next step? Take time to figure out what that next step is. Then once you get to it, take the next one, and then the next one, and so on – until you get there. [10:40 ] Getting Your State in Check When your physical/mental state is messed up and you probably didn't get enough sleep last night, obviously, your brain won't work correctly. One of the first steps you need to do is to figure out how to get your physical and mental state in check and focus on those things like it’s your job. [18:15] The Idea of Habit Stacking Based on James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits, the idea of habit stacking, as the name suggests, is to stack one habit after another. This helps you get your routine down because it takes a while for something to become a habit. Our actions are driven by our habits, therefore, you also need to be able to recognize what bad habits you need to break and figure out ways to fix them. E01: Stepping Into The Level After Next
Do you ever feel like there’s something more that you want to do? Whether it's opening up a new line of income, investing in something, starting a business, or even just learning a new hobby, it’s never too late to pursue it. And with the world that we have right now and what we have at our fingertips, going BIG is more possible than ever! If you’re ready to step to the next level, then this podcast is for you. Each week, I’m going to share tips and tricks to help you get  where you want to go or accomplish what you want to achieve. Today, I’m going to share my personal journey, going through anxiety and depression, getting diagnosed with ADHD (which is a true superpower by the way!), making a decision to become the best version of myself, and most importantly, taking action. I hope to inspire you to take ownership and control of your life. It's not just about going to that next level – it's about all the levels above it that you may not even know about yet. Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation: What ‘level after next’ means The idea of situational depression Advocating for yourself Why ADHD is a superpower The desire to achieve more in life Lessons from my mentor, Justin Prince Taking responsibility for everything in your life Episode Highlights: [10:16] Advocate for Yourself! The more you learn about yourself, the more you want to learn about yourself. And if everybody would just try to become the best version of themselves, then we would be living in heaven on earth. In moments when you think you can't or don't know how to create your own plan, don’t be afraid to reach out for help in creating that plan. The only scary part is that moment of reaching out, but once you get past it, you realize it was only fear of something that never actually existed. Ninety-eight percent of fear is simply inaction, and so, it's about getting into that action. [13:05] ADHD is a Superpower! For many of us who have been diagnosed with ADHD, we tend to focus on our weaknesses. Instead of doing that, begin looking at what strengths you have. When you are able to zone in on your strengths, it's going to help you focus on not only how to fix your weaknesses, but also utilize those strengths. Then you’ll be able to figure out what your next steps will be and how you can show up for yourself and for other people. Recognizing your strengths is going to open up a whole world of opportunity. [23:42] Take Full Responsibility for Your Actions and Decisions In business and in life, and in everything else, we have the tendency to take the easy way out, and that includes blaming other people for our failures. Take ownership of every task that you attend to every day, how well you do it, and whether you're putting full energy into it or not. If you want to go to the next level or the level after next, you have to take full and complete responsibility for everything.
