She's everyones favorite, and she is 4 today. I love using the podcast as a time capsule of sorts, so here is a portion of a little birthday letter I wrote her last night.

Y'all. We are actually improving over here! This was my favorite episode to record with them by far. It's such a sweet gift to see them grow and change so much even in the two minutes of air time they get on these episodes. Praying this episode finds you well, whether you're totally over quarantine or finally settling into a rhythm that works for you. We are cheering for you!

Its Wednesday, and the gang is back! Its been a bit of a week, as you'll hear in the first 2 minutes, but recording these with my kids always reminds me there is so much good and ever present Light. Praying you find the same is true in your week.

We're back, and sadly our techniques have improved very little. And by very little, I mean none at all. I pray that these little voices encourage you to celebrate your good, acknowledge the hard, and be warmed by all the Light in your life.

Trust me, I'm as shocked as you are - we were able to record both parts within a week. Miracles never cease. This episode focuses heavily on the effects of adoption on our marriage, Foster, and we start our timeline with a video we recorded the night we met the girls. Like we said in the first episode, if there are questions we didn't answer or parts we didn't cover, PLEASE let one of us know and we'd be happy to address it. Well, we like to keep things interesting over here. Lighting Up My Week is getting a bit of a face lift in the form of 4 brown babes and I am pretty excited about it. Its selfish, on my part of course, because I really just want a way to remember their voices in their respective octaves and with their respective diction, forever. It only took 8 months to record!! I always knew that I wanted to sit down and record how Foster's sisters came to us, and I'm really thankful we waited this long to do it.
