Let's Talk History!: Season 2; Episode 1- The Road to the First World War
Hi everyone and welcome back! After some time away and some rethinking I have finally posted a new episode!Come listen as I tell you about some of the incidents that happened in the lead up to the First World War. Long before Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot in Sarajevo, Europe and its nations tested the limits of each other to see how far each could be pushed without blinking. There were several incidents which could easily have kick started the War years earlier but why didn't it? In this first part I have sent the scene of Europe in the period of the lates 1800s up to around 1905 with more episodes coming soon to cover the rest of the period up to and including the start of the First World War. I will discuss as I progress why Europe did not go over the brink before 1914 and why in the end they did. So join me to go over the sparks that would eventually lit the fuse that sparked the powder keg of Europe.

Let's Talk History Episode 7- 'British Foreign Policy in Palestine (1920-1939)'
Hi Everyone and welcome back!Today I wanted to do a little follow-on podcast to a previously discussed topic and that is British foreign policy in the Middle East (if you haven't already listened to Episode 1 go and do that too!). I focus on British policy and the interdepartmental conflict which sometimes crept up between 1920-1939 while also discussing the events going on in Palestine at the same time. Thanks for listening and for sticking with me! Any and all support is appreciated so if you can share the podcast on any and all social media that would be great!  Edit: Apparently I skipped episode 6 so I have messed up by calling the previous podcast episode 7 and  this episode 8! Silly me!

Let's Talk History Episode 6- 'The Soldier who Came Back'
I wanted to talk about the tale of Fred Foster and Anthony Coulthard, I have read the book 'The Soldier who Came Back' a couple of times and I decided that I wanted to share this all with you. It is a tale of immense bravery, a ton of balls, a small slice of good luck and a big slice of bad luck. Allow yourself to listen to this story and come along on the rollercoaster of a story and find out about the Soldier who came back. EDIT!!: I say that Fred and Steve made it their mission to get Anthony's grave recognized but this is not true, Steve only found out about Anthony after Fred's death, and it was members of the family who took up the causePlease share these episodes with others as it helps the Podcast grow and gets more people involved. Let me know what you think and how these episodes can be improved!Edit 2: Apparently I skipped episode 6 as well so I have messed up this and the next episode but calling them 7 and 8! Silly me!

Let's Talk History- Episode 5- 'You can't rewrite History!... Well of course you can!'
For this episode I wanted to discuss something that I have often talked about and wanted to put out for others to discuss and engage with. The topic of 'rewriting' history is often one which draws strong opinions from all sides. But what does the term even mean and who are often the worst offenders of not wanting to discuss it? Listen along and hear my views on why its okay to rewrite history and why we shouldn't be so scared of discussing the topic even if our countries or individuals from it are often the 'Baddies' in the storyPlease engage with the video in anyway you can and please help promote the Podcast to everyone you know, let's push them listening numbers up to as high as we can! Thanks for joining me on this journey Cheers!

Let's Talk History Episode 2- Adolf Hitler
Welcome to the new and second episode of Let's Talk History! Today we take a look at Adolf Hitler and his life up the beginning of the Second World War. This video is very much a basic overview of the man and the way he acted in his route to and establishment of control over Germany. I will be making much more in-depth looks at areas such as The Holocaust in later podcasts in order to give it a proper discussion and respect. YouTube - Let's Talk History - YouTube
