Ciò che stiamo per narrare è la storia di una confessione fatta dal grande Francesco Petrarca sul proprio amore per la bella Laura e la non accettazione di tale interpretazione da parte di Sant Agostino. Per Francesco infatti l’amore per Laura è il suo bene e la sua bussola verso l’amore per Dio mentre per Agostino è l’amore, negativo e deleterio, per la creatura che ha preso il posto del Creatore.
