David Turner is a self-described “serial entrepreneur”, having owned/operated several businesses since the mid 1990’s. In 2008 David had a conversation that would literally change his life. An acquaintance asked him if he knew anything about the hospice business, and while the answer was no, his interest peaked and he began a career path that would lead to developing several hospice programs in Metro Detroit, for larger health care concerns, and ultimately starting his own hospice in 2014. David made the decision to take his business model, end of life care focused on traditionally underserved segments of the population, to Nashville in 2021 and looks to expand into other select US markets in the coming years.
The mission of David’s national brand, Heart and Soul Hospice, is to increase information, access and utilization of quality end of life care, while simultaneously expanding the presence of people of color in ownership and senior leadership in the hospice industry.
