Music conversations, like we used to have
The duo of Jay Harren and Jacob ("Jake") Gilmore makes for a powerful back-and-forth style podcast experience that will instantly remind any music fan of those hour-long debates with friends about the best side of your favorite album/cassette. While the hosts are leanding forward and really going deep into the topics du jour, their playful brotherly banter makes for a nice laid back listen.

Love this!
I have listened to both Amy episodes and love them and will binge the whole podcast 'cause I love how in-depth you all go into artists and their catalogs. Please have Amy on again to talk about another one of her influences!

Great Listen
I came on exclusively for Episode 15 because of Amy Lee, but now I'm binging the previous episodes! It's great for the novice or the pro, the musician or the enthusiast. It really reminds me of conversations that I used to have in my living room when I was in college. Not a U2 guy, but I really loved Amy Lee's cover of With or Without You. Does that count, Jay? Seriously though, listen! You won't regret it.

New Music Hot Banters
There's a bajillion new things coming out everyday it seems. I appreciate having a few trusted sources who have sorted through the milieu and can offer some guidance. The different shades of music taste that Jay and Jake bring to Lean Forward make the whole thing eclectic enough to be great. I'm also into the mix of insider back story and industry knowledge from Jay along with Jake's wonderment as an accomplished fan of seemingly all manner of music genre's and leading conspiracy theories. Bottom line, the banter is good. Like sitting with friends at a pub and having a good natured argument about how there will never be another Freddy Mercury. Listen to it.

Digging. It.
I'm leaning forward, for sure. These two guys have great chemistry together and it makes for an entertaining conversation to eavesdrop on. The podcast along with the playlist are top of my list of things to check out each week.

Excellent
For someone who appreciates music but knows very little about it, this podcast has been a really great listen. I love walking away with a solid list of artists to check out each week and the banter and conversations are interesting and engaging. I highly recommend for anyone looking to round out the arts & entertainment side of their podcast lineup.

So entertaining and helpful!
Music industry landscape seems to be changing by the second -- these guys are super helpful in navigating! Having a podcast with unfiltered banter is so insanely refreshing -- like you're sitting over a couple drinks chatting with friends. Oh and I've discovered some fantastic bands in the process! Lifetime listener over here!

Great tunes. Great Banter.
Love their suggestions and a great edition to my library of podcasts. THe hosts have a good connection and the best part is they dont always agree. There is actual convincing of one another about whats good music and why. Look foward to what they come up with.

Mind blown
It's like diving into the minds of two mad music historians as they try to create the perfect playlist that epitomizes their life at the moment of recording.
Also the random diatribes Jake and Lee get into during the podcast are both hysterical and articulate. They some how intertwine musical discussions and comedy in a way to make you feel like you are an active participant and not just listener.
U2 is lame (I was born too late), Spotify is way better than Apple and you guys better keep the playlists and podcasts coming!
