LTLP Summer 2022 Programming Announcement
Thank you to all of you who have been listening to this podcast so far. To date, this podcast has been downloaded by over 200 people across 15 episodes. THANK YOU! Your support means a lot to me. As I have mentioned in a previous episode or two, I am also starting another business as I am launching LTL. It has been hard to maintain and produce a quality product in both businesses. As a result, I am going to change up my production schedule with this podcast and stop releasing episodes for the summer as well as add in some interview episodes as well. I will not be releasing any new episodes for the next three months. My goal is to continue writing episodes as well as schedule interviews for future episodes. Over the next three months, I will have written, produced, and recorded several episodes that will be ready for release weeks, if not months, in advance. This will allow me to make sure the content that you are receiving in these episodes is high-caliber, well-produced, and available on a consistent basis. My goal is to release a new LTLP Episode on Monday, September 5, 2022. In the meantime, you can always visit www.leadershipthatlasts.net for additional resources on leadership. Also, if you have not done so already, please sign up for the LTL email list so you can be up-to-date with the latest content and important news about LTL. You will die one day. If someone sat down to write your eulogy and say a few words about your life, what would they say? Would they have a hard time writing about you because you had nothing of value to give? Or, would they have a hard time writing about you because your life was filled with so much value? Do not wait to leave a good legacy until tomorrow. You are not promised it. A strong legacy needs to begin to be built today!

Why I Almost Quit Leadership That Lasts
I almost quit Leadership That Last. I almost quit on you. And for that, I am sorry. I let insecurity and comparison creep in and almost destroy something that I believe in and desire to share with you. But I am not looking at this as a negative, but rather as a positive. I will be back stronger and more focused now that I know how I could have been easily derailed. See you next week on the Leadership That Lasts podcast.

When It Is Okay To Quit
The Five Common Elements to Effective and Sustaining Leadership Guide → https://www.leadershipthatlasts.net/fiveelementsintro In today’s episode, you will learn when quitting is okay, how to quit well, and how to remove the stigma around quitting. You, like so many other people, probably have a negative feeling when you hear the word “quit”. Some common words to describe quitting are, give up; leave; remove from; to admit defeat. You can do a disservice to yourself as a leader if you live and die by the mindset that you never quit. There are times when it is okay to quit and this episode of the Leadership The Lasts podcast will help you gain a better understanding of then those times are. This quote from Rich Karlgaard, the author of Late Bloomers: The Power of Patience in a World Obsessed with Early Achievement sums up the point of this episode perfectly. “It's just as important to know when to drop something and shift direction as it is to know when to stick with something. When we quit the things that aren't working for us, we free up our willpower and perseverance for the things that really do matter.” MUSICEpidemic Sound (30 Days Free) https://share.epidemicsound.com/2r249m“Shlow Motion Pt. 2” | oomiee

How My 5 Favorite Leadership Characteristics Work Together
The Five Common Elements to Effective and Sustaining Leadership Guide → https://www.leadershipthatlasts.net/fiveelementsintro In today’s episode, I am going to share with you how the five common elements of effective and sustaining leadership I talk about in the past few episodes come together to help you in your leadership. While these five elements may seem random they support each other as they support you in helping you be a leader for life. In episode 002 of this podcast, I did a high view of those elements and in the last five episodes, I talked a little deeper about each element. (If you have not listened to those episodes I highly encourage you to give them a listen after this episode.) Even if you do not know about the elements, you will get a better understanding of them from this episode. The Five Elements of Effective and Sustaining Leadership are Self-care, Compassion, Service, Integrity, and Vision. All of the elements or characteristics are fantastic for you to have on their own, but today I want to show you how using them in your leadership all the time will help you be a leader for life. I have put these in a pyramid structure to help you see how they work together. This is not a random reason, there is significance to why I have placed them in a pyramid. The point of these five elements and this element pyramid is to give you a framework to consider as you more within your leadership. There are so many important things you need to be focusing your attention on as a leader. I want to help you not have to “figure out” the broad view of leadership while you tackle the things that are right in front of you. If you can work on these five elements or characteristics of your leadership you will have a greater chance to be an effective leader for life! Why Vision Is Important to Leadership
The Five Common Elements to Effective and Sustaining Leadership Guide → https://www.leadershipthatlasts.net/fiveelementsintro In this episode of the Leadership That Lasts Podcast, Greg talks more about vision, the fifth element in Five Common Elements of Effective and Sustaining Leadership. You will be introduced to how to plan your vision, communicate the vision well, and how important your vision is to your legacy. Having a plan for your vision will help you create a strong vision. Sharing your vision with others can be beneficial to the success of your vision because it will help you see the potential holes in your vision. Once you have a vision you need to make sure that you communicate the vision effectively to your team. Remember that you have been living this vision but your team has not. They will need to hear the vision over and over again to really grasp it. Your communication goes beyond the verbal. You communicate your vision in the actions that you take with your team and others. A strong vision will help ensure that you are leaving a strong legacy for your team, family, etc. As a leader, you should be thinking about who can take over when you are no longer in leadership. You will not be the leader forever and one day someone else will be in your position. Are you leaving a strong legacy for them by having a quality vision that is being lived out by your and your team?
