This episode features Dr Gabrielle Pelicci, Ph.D. She even says herself in the podcast that it's one of the things she does, not who she is! She is so much more than that, as are you.
In the podcast, she describes defining moments in her life that contribute to the layers of who she is today, including her childhood, a mystical experience when her mother passed away when she was 21, the importance of relating in order to heal & psychedelics. In particular, the subject of healing, as her book 'All Of this Healing Is Killing Me' had me reading it literally, whereas she has a unique perspective on what it meant to her. I personally put that title alongside Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD's ' The Body Keeps The Score' for best titles I've ever read.
Near to heart, the role women have played in our history as healers, how that was largely dismissed through the telling of stories through history, and how her dissertation seeked to inform and reilluminate spotlight onto this necessary part of who we are as a civilization stood out in both the podcast and her book.
Please enjoy the podcast and feel free to reach out to Gabrielle or myself if need be!

This podcast is a story.
One of a close friend of mine and many of you going through a challenging life experience for which a few of us went to support him.
There, in addition to the many things that arose, connection, appreciation, support, brotherhood, patience, pause were all important.
What also became evident were at least 10 illusions that arose that I see in the ER, and in life, too, that everyone upholds more or less, until moments arise where the illusion dissolves.
Top 10 biggest illusions.
1. Tomorrow
2. Next breath
3. Health
4. Loved ones will be there
5. Functional faculties
6. Immortal
7. Eternal Time
8. Certainty
9. Who you think you are
10. Who you think you aren’t
Bonus; That You Know
Please, after listening, take some time to contemplate, digest and integrate some of what surfaces in this podcast. If it feels right, like, share, rate and subscribe.

My guest in this episode is my homie Dr. Alex Mailis. We went to York University together in Kinesiology and Health Sciences back in 2004! He's now a doctor of Chiropractic by training and in practice, one of the biggest hearts, with a cadence that embodies kindness and consideration.
Yes, Im saying that about a man.
We had a powerful conversation on subject including his line of work, how people navigate their lives in pain, the power of appreciation, and the importance of pause.
I really enjoyed our time together in dialogue, and I am sure you will, too.

This is a unique podcast, in that I had organized a men's gathering at my cottage after having hoped to connect with these high integrity men for over 3 years. We finally made it happen. 10 of us congregated and jumped on the podcast to discuss randomly chosen topics.
It veered into a discussion on traumas, the women in our lives, profound life lessons, medical realities, near death, love & what's on the horizon for masculinity, but most importantly, it highlighted the importance of spaces that men regularly can connect to alleviate the burdens they may carry.

Nicolas Canon is a man who is devoted to supporting humanity through many mediums. In person, groups, through medicine retreats. He is a great friend of mine and I even wrote the foreword for his First book ' Grace - A Practical No Bullshit Journey From Pain to Purpose'.
Books like this are important, because they have you reflect on how you can incorporate more softness into your life. Every human serves to gain from connecting to the stories that once hurt them, and now lead their lives in surprisingly prevalent ways.

So many nuggets of gold in this episode with Erick Godsey. When I was listening to this again, I wrote down 74 different topics that we went through!
It was really important for us to touch on subjects that we both seek to support, address & help, including mental health, and how it is currently treated in a model that is discordant with the psyche and spirit of the individual. Maybe our pragmatic approach is completely inadequate to what is needed, yet completely in line to the times that we live.
He shares the story of the recent passing of his Dear friend. He decided to still do this podcast, and I am grateful that he honoured his friend with the consideration as well.

This episode was with my dear friend Fernando Borreda. Hailing from Spain, we met at Burning Man in 2018.
Many conversations that you see online have silent gaps cut to optimize for time, but it's in those spaces that the share, the concept, the experiences are digested. Fernando embodies that, in real time. He 'does not just see the label, he taste's the wine'. He calls me out during the podcast as an invitation for everyone to consider when they are speaking from the mind, how to return back to the heart.
He shares his story of how this became apparent & undeniable for him, and how important pause to appreciate the simplicities of day to day, especially relational, improves the taste of life and the depth of love.

Happy new year! This episode is with my brother, conscious curious osteopath by training Ryan Burkholder.
We discuss the significance of how life defining moments can be reevaluated, and how certain experiences can limit or liberate individuals. He vulnerably shared the story of the tragic and sudden passing of his best friend, and the burden that it brought, grief carried, until he began seeing the lesson and invitation, both from himself and from his best friend, not just imagined, but in every moment.
He redefined his WHY to bear any HOW, and he invites the same for you.
