I only just recently heard of LWL and I’m so late to the party…love this podcast and all the topics they talked about. I loved their episode on CoCo and La Malinche. And still going through the rest of the episodes…LWL you are missed.

I’ve been a fan of these guys for the past couple of years ever since I stumbled across the podcast. I think now more than ever I have found their podcast to be a source of joy. Favy Fav and Babelito’s commentary is the perfect balance of through provoking and gut busting. Since being in the house more I have been able to listen to episodes more frequently, and have come to truly admire the show for everything that it is. Keep it up!

Aside from your podcast being a great way to cheer myself up because let’s face it you guys are too funny, I also learn so much from you both. Growing up as a first generation Mexican, it’s been hard to feel like I fit in a specific group of people without feeling too Mexican or not Mexican enough. Thank you for reassuring me that I am enough and have no one to prove that too! Thank you for being real, even though las pedradas me llegan hasta acá lol, it’s good to get a dose of reality! Thank you for keeping this stay at home mom company during Covid. One question, and sorry por el sermon lol, how do you respond to White Passing Latinx who make you feel inferior to them because in their eyes you’re “too Mexican”. For the most part I ignore comments or looks but it infuriates me when I know they too are first generation. Thanks, also I’m bummed you decided to quit podcasting 😖

Hijole, where do I begin? I have been following Babelito and Favy for three years, and I’m disheartened that the podcast is coming to an end. O sea, fue como una puñalada en el corazón! This is not a hyperbole, I cried when they made the announcement about their future endeavors - but of course, it is for the best; the two must grow through other ventures, and they’re too talented not to do so. Babelito, I’m glad that you’re loving Chicago, because I’m a native Chicagoan ❤️ I have been living in a very white Buffalo, NY, and these two made me feel less lonely as a Chicana navigating this city with little-to-no Latinx folks. En serio, sí se siente como si estoy chismeando con ustedes. I’ve learned so much from them as well, and I strongly believe that I’m a better person because of this podcast. (specifically when it comes to being more critical about Latinx culture and dismantling our toxic systems). Also, hating on Maná is a plus LOL. If there is one thing I could ask for, it’s that you DO NOT DELETE YOUR EPISODES OR TAKE DOWN YOUR WEBSITE. Don’t undermine your loyal following, because I know I’ll be listening to your episodes again and again for memorabilia. Don’t change, and mucha suerte con todo! Y’all are the best. How did I not discover this podcast sooner? I adore the thoughtful and educational conversations, and the joyous Spanglish banter of two friends. I learn and thought so much deeply while also laughing and enjoying two lovely voices in my ears. Highly recommend!

I’m in the Navy and have been away from home for almost seven years and these guy totally give me so much nostalgia. I love how light hearted they can be and how well they dig into very hard to talk about topics. I personally resonated so deeply with Favy and his personal experiences he has touched on growing up Latino in the States and Babelito describes so many things of growing up in Juarez that I almost forgot about from my own childhood crossing weekly to visit family in Juarez as well. These guys hold a special place in my heart and honestly the only podcast I listen to on a regular basis and never get tired of listening to them. It feels so good to listen to people who just get it. Especially being one of the only Mexican women in my work place nearly every place I go in the Navy. Much love from this loca and give these guys a listen!!

Came across this podcast about a year or two ago and truly haven’t looked at any other podcast. Babelito and favyy are hilarious, real, and truly wiser than they think. It’s like listening to your family talk about chisme and intellectual things all in one. May this podcast never go away.

I have been a fan for years now and just realized I had not written a review. I love listening to their conversations because they are both insightful and familiar. In a recent episode Favy said that cooking was one of his favorite forms of art and I couldn’t agree more. It’s little things like these and the deep, honest conversations about race that make me feel so connected to both Favy and Babelito.

The podcast I didn’t know I had been searching for! I listened to one episode and was hooked. When one of the hosts didn’t have the answer right away, they just said that and said they would come back with numbers. Their answers were just so informative, sin pelos en la lengua, and some of my favorites like (@yosirey and @academicmami) have been guests. Can’t wait to look back at old episodes and keep up with new ones.

I have been on the hunt for a podcast that wasn’t made by white people for such a long time. I asked on Twitter for someone to recommend me a podcast and a friend sent me the link to this one. Listening to the first episode of this podcast and I was blown away with how much I related to both of the hosts. I am Mexican American born in the states and hearing someone talk about things I care about and topics I am also passionate about makes me feel happy. My friend and I have decided to start our own show and I am very much inspired by yours that I just want to say thank you for putting your voices out there to shine light on topics that don’t seem to get enough attention in the Latinx community. Hope you get 1,000 5 star reviews soon!
