I was so interested and then the host comes on and wow, this woman is a snob.

The stories covered are interesting but the way they are covered ruins the narrative every single time. It’s just a casual conversation with a host who plays clueless so we get only the broad brushstrokes and a few odd details in no particular order,along with quips and personal obsessions of the host. I tried but I’m done. It would be better to just read the original story or just lookup the story on Wikipedia and make my iMac read it to me.

The host is unbearable but I still listen for Richard. So maybe not unbearable as I bear it. Would be nice to hear Richard only, or with a host who has a brain. Makes perfect sense the host is obsessed with astrology. I see I am not the only who thinks the host is terrible. This is the first review I have ever written on a podcast and I was “inspired” to because the host is so bad. My goodness.

One important point of difference from the civil vs criminal trial was change of venue. The civil trial got moved to simi valley and had an all white jury.

I very much enjoy these stories! I just wonder why not a single person discussing the Brink’s jewelry heist could correctly pronounce the word JEWELRY!

I’ve tried to like this podcast, but it’s done terribly. The host never provides the needed context for what she’s talking about, so if you haven’t read every article on the subject that she has, you’ll be lost. I just tried listening to an episode where she was talking with someone about Weezer’s bassist’s wife being in a standoff with police. She referred to having seen the body cam footage, but then didn’t say what it showed. She actually never gave an account of what happened. It’s like listening to your friends chit chat about a tv show you haven’t watched. And on the occasion when she’s talking about something I AM fully informed on, she doesn’t add anything interesting to the conversation. Hard pass.

I am listening to the podcast about Tom Girardi and his fall from grace. Madison is a very good interviewer and I’ll continue to listen. What I also wanted to convey is my respect for the LA Times and their reporters, Harriet and Matt. The deep dive Harriet and Matt took and their reporting is why I subscribe to The Times. I used to be a fan of Tom Girardi, but no more!

I came here because I’m a big fan of Madison’s first podcast Ice Cold Case. As someone who loves true crime and also lived in LA for 10 years, I just know this will have me listening every week. Can’t wait for more!

Captivated by Madison’s other podcast Ice Cold Case, and this is the deep L.A. dive I’ve been waiting for!

Madison is such an important figure in the true crime community. So glad she's working on a new pod to dive into more cases that need to be shared. You know I'll be tuning in! 🎧

I cannot wait for this after listening to the trailer. Anything Madison touches is gold!
