An Absolute Goldmine of Kubrick Facts and Discussion
This is hands-down the best Kubrick analysis and discussion media you will find. Sure it’s not visual, but that doesn’t stop the hosts from going into detail about Kubrick’s style, intent and most fascinatingly, the behind the scenes development of his iconic oeuvre.
The episodes are long and sometimes laborious (like Kubrick’s films themselves), but you will come away feeling like you’ve read the equivalent of The Decline and Fall of Rome, with how much detail they provide. This podcast would be great for film courses if it isn’t already being used. Great stuff!

A gift for the mind
Barry Lyndon is one of my favorite Kubrick films. I am blown away at the depth that went into this episode. Bravo! You have a new fan , can’t wait to hear the rest of the films.

I wanted this to be good
But instead I found myself listening to someone who has only seen Barry Lyndon once telling me what a slog it is. These guys seem like they would do better discussing the back to the future trilogy. Basic knowledge, no real insight.

I’m getting through this
When Renan and William first came into my life was in Kubrick cast. In their initial episode they speak about Fear and Desire. A freshman effort of Kubrick’s that left much to be desired. They’re jocular hope in this first episode was that they too would produce a “2001” worthy effort that would endear them to the public.
“Enter the Void”is that effort. Through this podcast I not only enjoyed the skewed echo chamber I so badly needed to justify my love all things cinema bizarre; but it also opened me to new titles that, perhaps, didn't take themselves so seriously.
This show has been a rare pleasure.
The hosts are thoughtful and the discussion has never bled into pretentiousness.
My only regret is that this show came prepackaged to end...

Amazingly puritanical
Why do you want to talk about him? It is constantly sterile your views of a man that is not in your sphere of reality. He is just some guy so you can talk garbage. Some distraction from the fact that you can’t make a single movie at the insanely provoked level of Lolita which is not meant to be a kind hearted tale like a John Hughes film. I wanted to hear ideas that challenged my view point of this film and all I get is two little boys confused, looking at their first playboy magazine. The characters were perfectly portrayed in their 2 dimensional roles and we get a 3d movie from Kubrick which always is a clear vision of his unique view point of life. Why did he do what he did? Doesn’t matter. It was always entertaining even when it went too far from the status quo. Celebrate his vision, don’t be so claustrophobic.

Random thoughts. It gets nowhere. Waste of time.

The sound is horrible.
The sounds is absolutely horrible. You will have to turn the valine all the way up and then all the way down every time someone else talk. Very annoying and gives you a headache.

Wicked fun & fascinating
I’m biased; I’ve listened to every episode 10 times. But still I gotta say; great granular detail & occasional fun guests by two guys volunteering their free time to let us know so much more about Kubrick

Intensely cerebral. A great listen
This is the comprehensive Kubrick study that I didn't know I was missing. Always been a huge Kubrick fan and this increased my respect for the filmmaker. Hope that this group can study other directors in the future. I.e. The Cohen brothers

Excellent podcast
These guys are really great. Enthusiastic and well researched. Good sound quality too, which is a big deal for me because most podcasts sound like crap.

Best specialized film podcast I've listened to
Just that, Best specialized film podcast I've listened to. Specially good analysis of The Shinning and Eyes Wide Shut.

Obnoxious
They do "spoilers" just to be obnoxious.

Excellent Podcast
these guys don't just phone it in, there's a lot of research here, and it's balanced with great dialog. I'm a bit late to this podcast but I still wanted to give this podcast the kudos it deserves. This is great work on one of the most important and influential filmmakers of the last 50 years.

Great Podcast
I just found this podcast last week. I was sad because I thought it was over with Eyes Wide Shut. I was happy to see the new episode today!! Continue the podcast!!! Even if it's about revisiting the same movies with a new perspective or maybe about rare Kubrick collectibles like scripts, books, movie props. Anyways, thanks for all the work you guys put in to the show.

Great show
I listened to the show as I decided to chronologically watch through kubricks catalogue. The hosts are entertaining are do very extensive research on each film. Definitely worth a listen if you are a fan of any of kubrick's films

Just awful
I'm sorry but this podcast is just the worst. I tried really hard to listen to them but in the end I had to turn it off.
The main reason is the inane chatter and regurgitated information. Kubrick is one of the worlds greatest filmmakers where was the depth of thought. It was as if these guys did not have the intelligence (which I'm sure is not the case) to discuss such great works of art.
Two dudes sitting in their bedroom saying how great 2001 is, just does not cut it... For me.

Made me re-watch every movie!
These guys really did their research, not just of the film, but the filmmaking process and the cultural impact of the works. Great job!

Dream come true!
As a kubrick fan, and all around film in general, I love learning new things about my favorite movies. An that's exactly what I do when I listen to programs like KubrickCast. Can't wait for all the episodes to come!

Great podcast for film buffs!
Liked the format and deep dive into one film at a time. A must for Kubrick fans.
Figurine156
perfect for Kubrick fans
Really enjoy the single-topic format. As a big film enthusiast and a completist, I enjoyed the deep dive into all the less-discussed films in Kubrick’s oeuvre.

Great listen
Great podcast, enjoyable even if you have not seen the discussed film yet. Well done!
