It's Episode 21! It’s been a little while coming this one! We travelled a very short distance to Lee Pennington aka Eelus’ studio in Brighton. Our shortest journey yet. We love his work. His story is a brilliant adventure in self promotion and hard work. We spoke about outselling Banksy, his childhood love of MJ, work ethic and about dealing with mental health and a late diagnosis of ADHD. Thanks to Lee for the cakes and giving up his time to hang out and speak with him!

It is a very important subject to talk about and we should be able to approach subjects such as grief and loss more openly. It's Episode 20! We travelled to London to speak to the wonderful Zakia Sewell. We are big fans of her ‘Questing’ Radio show on NTS so it was a pleasure to have her on Know Ideas. Zakia is a broadcaster, writer and Dj from London. We spoke to her about growing up, where she likes to ramble, her journey from music shops to bbc documentaries and djing. The conversation explored identity and what it is to be British and how Zakia is furthering her story from the BBC Doc ‘My Albion’ for her upcoming book. We also find out what her favourite cheese is. It was a pleasure to talk to Zakia and we had an amazing time listening to documentaries and radio shows that she has created. Welcome to Episode 19 of Know Ideas! In this episode we travelled to London to speak to Artist, Musician and Filmmaker, Babak Ganjei. His work is funny, satirical, vulnerable and self referencial. He creates hand painted thoughts and makes them into neon signs. Paints living rooms from the 90s sitcoms he wished he’d lived in and lives in a part of London where sticks from the park go for big bucks on ebay. We had a brilliant time with Babak. We spoke about him and his son Arthur and the work they have now done together. We chatted about his childhood, growing up between London and the south coast and off mic we had a good chat about chocolate bars. Its a really fun episode and is a brilliant insight into his work and life as an artist. He’s up there with being the most ideas based guest we’ve had on! We love ideas! Last month we had the pleasure of speaking with the inspirational Charlie Dark, now MBE. We both wanted to speak to Charlie for such a long time being big fans of his talks and radio show. We spoke to him about his childhood, music whilst growing up, meeting Malcolm Mclaren, being sent to Ghana by his mum, his musician days and the origins of what he does now with Run Dem Crew and being a global ambassador of joy and inspirational speaker. Hello listeners! It's been a while! We are back with a very special episode we recorded in the wild with nocturnal photographer, Jasper Goodall. Thankyou to Jasper for taking us out into the cold dark woodland for this one! His work explore ideas around being lost, loneliness, symbolic aspects of darkness and the fear of the unknown. Mr. Bingo is an artist living and working from London. We have been trying to talk to Bingo from Day 1, so it was an absolute pleasure to finally do so as he doesn’t really do podcasts. After setting up the gear in his flat overlooking a canal in East London, moving some large cacti and settling down with tea and cake we got to talking about his life as Mr. Bingo. As he puts it, he grew up in a ‘normal’ family and was always really interested in art and creating from a kid, getting through school to pursue creative projects. We talk in depth about his now infamous kickstarter campaign a few years back. Each reward was a beautifully planned and excuted project in itself. We discuss his amazing advent calendar project and how that has evolved over the years. There’s a whole heap of honesty and a lot of laughs in this one!
