Shakespeare's King Lear Abridged
.
The aged King Lear decides to divide his kingdom between his three daughters and gets in conflict with the youngest, most truthful, and loyal daughter, Cordelia. After banishing her, he finds no repose and respect among his other daughters, Goneril and Regan, and is abandoned in the wilderness. Losing his reputation as king, turning senile during a storm, left with only his loyal servants, Lear gains an understanding of the essence in life. All the while, Gloucester’s bastard son Edmund, working with Lear’s traitorous daughters, schemes against his brother Edgar in order to gain his birthright.
