Whoa!! Gotta calm those horses down! What a wild an interesting ride thru the desert filled with macabre tales, a wonderful deep voice and spirited interactions—Line them up, I’ll have more of this!! I wrote this review a while back and just realized I accidentally pushed the wrong amount of stars! So I have updated to the 5 which I had wanted to do, because like a fine wine this show just keeps getting better with age, so 5 stars again!!

I love ever single one of these well-researched and produced episodes. Very different than the many other “true crime” podcasts I listen to - and in the most positive way. Additionally hats off to- and I love- Zevon Odelberg work and efforts to share his story as well as reach out to others, making each of us feel like part of a family.

I’ve been listening to kinda murdery for awhile now, and it’s always intriguing. The research done is second to none, and it’s not the same stories literally everyone else is covering. I highly recommend it!

Loved the latest series on Bonnie and Clyde. The detail put in to each episode had a picture of what was happening playing in my mind. Love the content and the direction of bringing people together the podcast has in it. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys listening to true crime stories!

Stories you won't hear anywhere else. Sometimes dark, sometimes funny. Zevon is a tremendous storyteller with a fantastic voice. These tales of undiscovered bloody history keep me wanting more and I enjoy the show's perspective on current events too!

Much better before cohost joined. I’d give it a 5 star before and a 2 star now.

This podcast is just fun to listen to. It's like sitting down with friends and chatting. You feel like your part of the group. The subjects are fun and interesting. Zevon researches brilliant stuff that could be marvelous on the screen. I walk away from episodes thinking “when will someone direct these??” It’s a great way to see the research that goes behind top screenwriting. Also a great way to learn California history in a fun way.

Wow. What a superb podcast. Zevon and his team have crafted a podcast unlike any I’ve ever encountered. You come for the murders but you stay because of the people breathing life into this product. Every guest brings something unique to the show. Whoever thought Murder could be this hilarious! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend.

There are people that love true crime podcasts and there are people who LOVE true crime podcasts. I am the former. I find most to be dry with hosts that are the equivalent of an audible book-reading robot. I prefer good dialog and a little bit of humor to break the tension without overdoing it. Kinda Murdery is the perfect pod for me. Zevon and guests do a great job covering FRESH stories in places I didn't know existed. Zevon’s sarcastic delivery is often laugh-out-loud funny without being a try-hard shock jock. If you are looking for a Festivus for the rest of us, look no further than Kinda Murdery.

Keep on putting out this podcast and I will just keep listening.

If you like desert vibes, this is a good one. The format is a little different than the typical murder podcast. I hope they keep it going. Love the host’s voice!

I used to be sad. I contemplated killing myself, or — perhaps — others. But then I found out about Kinda Murdery. Now I have a harmless outlet for my existential dissonance. And it appears to have kept my demons on hold. For now. But boy, do I hear that clock ticking loudly.

Host Zevon Odelberg - whose voice was tailor-made to host a podcast - and his impressive guests guide us through a hilarious and at times jaw-dropping tour of some of the strangest murder mysteries (or, solved but still puzzling) in some of the strangest parts of the Old West. Light-hearted, but not always for the faint of heart, this excellent podcast will have you laughing, puzzling, and forgetting about your own challenges for a few minutes. Bravo, Zevon and team!

I started listening to this bc it was mentioned on Relax! with Erik Stocklin and Colleen Ballinger. Erik was on an episode and I love murder/ghost podcasts and I was hooked on episode one!!! Great Job!!!

This was fun! I love those old dusty highways, Zev has always been eager to entertain us, and of course I love a murdery story, so all those combined with friends’ banter was just great!

Hearing Zevon’s voice as the podcast opens tosses me directly into the desert. As in straight down into Death Valley itself because Zevon’s voice is Kinda Murdery. I was very impressed with the first episode and am interested in what creepy stories are going to come out of those that follow! Humorous and witty, with plenty of gore and engaging murdery murders, Kinda Murdery is certainly a must have for the podcast quiver.

This podcast takes you a a wild ride thru the wastelands of the Mojave Desert. Each ghost town visited is full of amazing stories that are all kinda murdery. This podcast it fun and the hosts make you feel like a friend.

This podcast tells such a vivid story that you feel you are there with a birds eye view to these kinda murdery stories. The stories the host and guests paint is stunning. I’m obsessed.

I got into the adventures of Murder. Zevon may have said “Dallas” Oregon when he meant “The Dallas” Oregon. I could be wrong but I am an Oregonian ;) never mind. I just looked it up. There is a Dallas and The Dallas Oregon!

If you’ve ever wondered what’s happening in those god forsaken towns you see as you drive through the desert, here’s you answer. Great and disturbing way to pass your time if you’ve got some desert wondering to do.

I loved the historical aspect of the story and appreciate how much research must have gone into this. The conversation among the hosts sometimes wandered away from the narrative, and I wanted more of the actual storyline. But I’m looking forward to the next episode!

The Covid antidote and so much more! Story telling at its best, infused with scholarly research and made light-hearted with the banter of friends who are relaxed, clever and compelling. I’ve long had an interest in some of these little, dusty towns out of nowhere and wanted to know more about them besides their weird names. I’m hooked and ready to be entertained and educated in the next episode. Thank you Zevon and friends!
