Excellent Show
Candace is such a baddie. I love hearing her personal stories about being one of a small number of women in the FBI. She trail-blazed and I find her to be really inspiring. I love listening to her personal stories. I also found it really validating to listen to her talk about why people like scary movies and true crime. ;)

Green river killer
I love it all. The sociopath, psychopath, narcissist, sadist murderers.y favorite is BTK. He’s such an evil dork.
What about the Green River Monster?! I’ve been waiting for that in depth explanation. pleaseeee…
And of course, Candace you’re my favorite BAU!! Except for the BTK specialist, Kathrine Ramsland.

Latest episode
The latest episode is a repeat of the gilgo beach episode right before it.

What is going on?
The last two weeks, the titles and the podcast are not lining up and it’s the Gilgo stuff over and over again

What is going on??
So for the last three episodes the titles have been mismatched and the Heuermann episode has been posted 3 times. Ugh. This is not the first time this has happened. Maybe time to unfollow.

Antisemitic
I was a fan of Candace DeLong for years before I heard this podcast - but I had no idea she was a raving antisemite. She somehow tries to scapegoat Israel for the fact that a deranged Palestinian man murdered RFK. I couldn’t even get through the episode.

Great podcast!
Really interesting 🧐
I love how Candace says surprise .. surprise 😋 on the last podcast about the Palestinian murder in Robert Kennedy …the Israel -Palestine “war” was never a war it’s always been a genocide. To end cycles of violence victims need to heal so they don’t become like their oppressors.

Fascinating Insight
Learning about the psychological realm of the truly twisted and unrepentant can be intense, but DeLong’s delivery brings the clinical along with the gallows, so it feels grounded. And she’s competent in up-to-date changes and awareness so her perspective remains fresh and relevant.

Such a great podcast
Just listened to the Ted Bundy episodes. And saw last night that a victim from the 70’s in Utah has been confirmed to have been murdered by Bundy.
I appreciate your expertise and I really appreciate the way you tell the story in your podcasts.
Looking forward to many more episodes.

One of the Best!
I’ve been a follower of this podcast for a long time. I always look very forward to each new episode.
Ms. DeLong breaks everything down in a carefully crafted fashion. She really knows her stuff! A shoutout to her and her amazing team.

Candace you’re an inspiration!
I love this show and I love Candace’s voice! I always can tell it’s her on tv or on any audio because it’s so special. I love learning about the mind from a professional.

Gets annoying
The podcast itself is engaging, but the way Candice speaks is off putting. She should really put some effort into a voice coach. And the amount of times she says her credentials is atrocious after a while

Podcaster’s Reading Pattern
Delong could benefit from voice coaching. Not everyone should podcast. The reading vocal pattern Delong uses is jarring. The emphatic stresses of words that don’t need stress draws attention away from the subject matter. There is no flow to her read. The subject matter is intriguing and if she writes the scripts, bravo; but someone else should do the readings.

Luigi Mangione
Both Luigi Mangione and Ted Bundy illustrate the "halo effect," where their attractiveness and charm lead the public to overlook their violent actions, often romanticizing them instead. This phenomenon is amplified by social media, which can create a cult-like following around such individuals, blurring the lines between celebrity and criminality.

Addiction
Can you tell me why I am addicted to your podcast and voice?! You have lit a fire inside of me and now I’m looking into criminal psychology, behavioral science, and many other things. Love love love! Never quit!

LOVE Killer Psyche!
Candice DeLong provides an excellent break down of the crime as well as the psychopathy of the person committing the criminal act. And she does it without all the unnecessary profanity found in so many other podcast. As an educated professional I really appreciate not having to hear such offensive language just to get to content I’m interested in.

Good one. Our whole country is involved the thrall of a dark triad. Where do you suggest we run???

Why are all of my favorite podcasts disappearing or ending?! Are all these re-runs a sign of the end?

Susan Polk pt 2 never dropped
Maybe it’s an encore but I am awaiting part 2 of the Susan Polk episode, please

What’s with all the encore episodes?
Is wonder about to cancel this series?

Candice is just the best
I LOVE Candice. I’ve seen every episode of Deadly Women more times than I can count. Candice’s insight was always my fav thing about an episode. She’s so intelligent and well spoken, with a hint of sass. Since the show has stopped I’ve been hoping to see her somewhere else talking about crime. When I heard about this podcast I ran to listen to it. I’m obsessed. Finally it’s just Candice doing what she does best with none of the fluff from other people. If you want a no frills insight to killers, Candice is your girl.

Not what is used to be…
Used to be pretty interested in this show at the beginning, but stopped listening a while ago and after revisiting it, it’s gotten even worse than what I remember. The episodes on Luigi and Sarah Boone were some of the biggest let downs by far due to their guests and the last of insight Candice had

HE’S A KILLER! DUH!
She is super into her view point and her view point only, and there is no room for humanity. I can only take so much of “HE’S A KILLER! DUH!” She has a very condescending attitude and I feel like having a conversation with her would be like banging your head against a wall.

Andrea Yates
This podcast lost me after this episode. It’s disgusting how she plants her as a victim when SHE murdered innocent children. She made many, many choices to take another route & didn’t. It’s also gross that she blames the husband for an action he didn’t commit.
Morgs1201
Great show, but extremely disappointed in the Murdoch Murders episode
Come on Candice, everyone under a rock knows Mandy and Liz broke the story (ALL OF IT) with their courageous, original reporting about the Murdoch’s. Why would your team opt not to interview them — or at least MENTION them — and why would you not acknowledge their
extraordinary work and personal experiences covering the case? I look forward to your show every week but the fact that your producers neglected to go to the original source on this story was alarming. Listeners of your show really need to question the integrity of your staff. Support journalists who deserve credit for not just publishing but EXPOSING the truth on one of the ugliest, most corrupt American families of all time.

Thank you
Thank you so much for telling Andrea Yates’ story. It breaks my heart, and I completely agree that she is not a monster. I do, however, feel differently about Rusty.

Getting better with every episode!
Wow Candice! I have been so moved by many of your recent episodes. I feel like the psychological analysis has gone deeper, I often find myself thinking something right before you say it. You’re always so insightful. The choice of stories too… my heart broke at the Andrea Yates episode. You delivered it with such a sensitivity and awareness to the complexity her situation deserves. Bravo to you and your team, and keep them coming!

Thank you for the Andrea Yates Episode
Thank you for telling her story. When this happened, I felt Rusty had a lot of responsibility for this. I’m not convinced SHE wanted more children. The way she was treated made me sick. You did a phenomenal job on this story. Thank you again!!!

Good Stuff
Can’t ask for anything better. Valid background knowledge and opinions. Thank you for your services Ms. DeLong. Love the podcast!

Omitted CIA experiments on Unabomber
I was skeptical on this show because Candace is a celebrity profiler. She held the Thin Blue Line and left out all of the scientific experiments Ted was subjected to. A totally glossed over version of his story, leaving out the most important influence on his psyche. The fact she doesn’t even try to analyze his hatred of technology was a let down. Not continuing with this series.

Loved it until…
Luigi Mangione
It felt like she’d been paid by the insurance industry for this one.

Odd
It’s almost like listening to Sesame Street with the narrator explaining things to you like you’re a toddler

Get to the point, please!
The analysis is ok, though frequently colored by the presenter’s own opinions or experiences. Mostly, I wish there weren’t 6 full minutes of ads and introduction at the beginning of every episode. It takes wayyyy too long to get to the actual case and analysis, which is then, just ok. Perhaps adding a second, more objective co-host, and/or reducing the ad content up top would help.

Lost me
I really enjoyed this pod for a long time, but after the Luigi Mangione episode I just can’t stop thinking, “what ever happened to innocent until proven guilty Candice?” He’s still on trial & she’s doing an interview talking about his motives? Talking about how scared he was? Saying how he’s playing to the cameras & relishes the media attention? What if he IS innocent? Wouldn’t you expect him to try to communicate with the world outside of LE? Aka the media. I’d be looking for & yelling at cameras too if I were being accused of murder based on evidence found illegally.
Please do better.

Descriptions/titles don’t match content
Good content but it’s challenging to find what you’re looking for. I had to read the transcripts to find the podcast I wanted (on Kendra Licari). You may want to fix that.

Love hearing the professional insight into the minds of various offenders.
Ms. DeLong provides riveting and in depth dives into the psyche of criminals both contemporary and from history. It’s a fascinating look into what may be the impetus behind the offender’s crimes.

Remove the music
Great podcast once you get used to Candace’s voice. But the recent addition of background music is NOT a winner

Same old Tropes
S4E32 was my first and last attempt at this podcast. If you want to know why we have so many serial killers avoiding apprehension for decades then this episode will make it crystal clear. At ~41 min mark the “professional” states: “I assure you if the victims had been school teachers & nurses & white Little would have probably died of old age in an 8x10 cell.” Well, I assure you school teachers and nurses of all races generally have a routine that doesn’t include drug &/or alcohol addiction, exchanging services with complete strangers in secluded locations by the 100s or 1,000s, doesn’t on the normal disappear for days, weeks or months without so much as a phone call and on and on the list goes to differentiate between someone that doesn’t live a life on the edge of being a vulnerable target for predators and someone that is traceable on the daily with known friends and acquaintances. At what point do we call these tired old tropes out and take a cold hard look at the “experts” spewing them as if they are the gospel? The lay people putting out podcasts have a far greater understanding of how and why these monsters pick the people they do and in the words of Samuel Little, “I am not going to go pick a grape (what he called his victims) in some neighborhood where the women will be missed.” (Paraphrasing).

The titles don’t match the episodes
I love the podcast but sometimes the titles don’t match the episodes. For example, part I of Diane Downs is actually the Andrew Kehoe episode. It’s really frustrating.

No part 2 unless you subscribe
If I had noticed that this was the case I wouldn’t have bothered to listen to even the first episode. I’m so tired of being asked to subscribe to everything.

Used to enjoy
I’ve listened to this podcast since it started and have always really enjoyed it. However, I think the most recent episode discussing Luigi Mangione included way too many opinions and assumptions from Candace and her guest.
Kelkoon
Great… but…
Candice why do you keep saying that people are born with narcissistic personality disorder? I don’t believe this is factual please explain
pumpkin243
Good Show
I enjoy this show but she is very one-sided, looking at things from only a law enforcement and, more critically, a “corporate” viewpoint. Listening to the podcast on Luigi she clearly relished describing him as “scared”. She also accurately pointed out that supporters of Luigi are dehumanizing the victim but isn’t that exactly what insurance companies do? Dehumanize the patients and turn them into risks and losses and profit and loss? CEOs across corporate America do the same when they lay off employees right before Christmas to make their numbers look better. Isn’t Bondi doing the same by demanding the death penalty to appease her master’s corporate donors?

Choking and strangulation are two different actions
An individual may choke on food etc but strangulation is an action takenj by an individual on an individual. Ms Delong uses the terms interchangeably which is not correct.
