I eat up this pod as soon as it’s posted and much prefer it to bigger name shows that are available out there. Lisa is very smart, fun, insightful and always a pleasure to listen to. Dean is all the same, plus from Down Under. Definitely worth a try, I predict you’ll be around for quite some time. PS Lisa, girl, can you get your own mic? When casting with Paul it sounds like you’re on the other side of the room. Paul is clear as a bell.

I started listening because I love Lisa on RCP. I do not watch many show talked about here so I listened randomly. I decided to watch True Detective: North Country. I binge watched to get to Season 4. I almost gave up but made it so I could listen here. This podcast did not disappoint but I wish I listened after each episode. I finished watching episode 7 this morning.

I found this podcast by accident. Just when I thought I had listened to every decent podcast and only dregs were left, up popped KillerCasting, The sho is just outstanding. I’m listening now to the True Detective recaps. Dean is unreal with the details he reports on. I didn’t see half the stuff he recounts. I often wonder if I even saw the same episode. All ears are on when Lisa talk about an actor she saw or cast in the past. But the best part of this show is its uncanny ability to create a mental glow and immersive mindset about their topic du jour. When I listened to the Fargo shows I was so caught up, that the show still occupied my mind hours later and I couldn’t wait to get back to work so I could turn it on. Just great listening. I’m compelled to become a Patreon if I can. PS. More on costumes, please, please, please.

I always check in on the “Killer Casting” podcast to see which series Lisa and Dean are covering—the shows they discuss are guaranteed gems to watch, and their breakdowns are so insightful! I also love their discussions on the Oscars, and interviews with industry professionals. Well done, Lisa and Dean!!!

Killer Casting is a podcast that I would recommend to all those in the industry and outside of it! It’s such a thoughtful examination and dissection into the world of film/tv and all things entertainment!

Cannot fathom how the casting director is watching his show. She seems to not like any of it. And the Australian simply seems to get the socio/political commentary far more effectively. Her confusion annoys me. Using YMCA with the militia was hillarious. I don’t think she watched the news during Jan 6th.

KILLER CASTING always has fantastic discussions about casting, storytelling and creativity. Then, in episode 81, Lisa leads the most healing meditation I’ve ever experienced. Thank you, Lisa and KILLER CASTING for the marvelous surprise, and for this most generous gift!

I really enjoy listening to this podcast because I’ve always wanted to discuss frightful affairs in film and I get to get my fix by listening to this. I love the guests and all of the topics! One of the episodes I really like was the Mr. Inbetween episode and just the topic of how they came up with the name of the show and how that created debate was especially eye-opening and enthralling! I highly recommend this podcast!

Hearing their discussions about actors, their impact on screen, and the choices that may or may not work, it’s all incredibly insightful. No one is dumbing anything down for us here. Lisa, Brian, and Dean work so well together! All the Fargo episodes are great! Also, check out episode 14 with Marci Liroff!

Killer Casting takes you into the geeky world of film and video commentary, and it’s a deep dive. The chemistry between hosts Lisa, Brian and Dean is organic and compelling. And the production quality is off the charts. If you like film, series, docu’s these are the people you need to have in your ears. They’re killer!

Wonderful podcast that dives deep into the casting behind good shows. Love getting to her how the minds of casting directors Lisa Zambetti and Brian Hill work. Always good to hear how casting directors think.

This group covers so many interesting and compelling topics. Lots of “A-ha” moments, and plenty of loose and fun humor from host, Lisa Zambetti, who really knows her stuff! She moves each episode along with relaxed ease! Very interesting, and super fun!

This is such a great episode! The group talks about sex scenes in the industry and the introduction of intimacy coordinators. They go over boundaries and how to keep actors safe on set when they are almost always the most vulnerable people on set. So cool that this discussion is finally happening in the open and Lisa always cracks me up!

Lisa does a great job as host. Followed her here from Real Crime Profile. Every show has at least one moment that makes me say “wow... I did not know that “

I have so much fun listening to this podcast! Lisa, Brian, and Dean are entertaining and insightful. Much of the info they dish out applies to any genre, not just crime shows. And their interesting takes on casting will help you learn more about casting in general - beyond just whichever show the episode is discussing.

I have truly enjoyed Lisa’s contributions to the Real Crime Profile podcast! Especially her interpretations of tv series Mind Hunter and Dr. Wendy Carr’s blouse color. Lol But after listening to 1st episode of Killer Casting, and all hosts analysis of Mr. In-Between, I was hooked. Can’t wait for more!
