Welcome back! To kick off a new season of the show, I interview Kat Conner Sterling, who plays “Presley” in the Netflix movie musical “A Week Away.” We talk about what it’s like to film a movie, facing fears, and why she loves playing the "classic quirky girl."
Kat shares behind-the-scenes stories about working with Bailee Madison, Kevin Quinn, Sherri Shepherd, and David Koechner, as well as her experience connecting with #AWeekAway fans since the movie's release.
We also couldn’t help reminiscing about Samford University, where Kat and I met, and of course we had to mention Step Sing! (IYKYK 😉.) Follow Kat on social media, and stream “A Week Away” on Netflix!

Happy Father’s Day! On this episode, I welcome my very own dad, Don Sinclair 💙. With 30 years in banking, Dad gives excellent advice on listener-submitted questions about personal finance, career moves and all things #adulting. Perhaps my part of the conversation is when Dad shares about a difficult time in his career and how God gave him hope and deliverance.⠀
⠀
Dad’s not the only Sinclair to appear on this episode––you’ll hear surprise guest appearances from our beloved Angie (see episodes 2 and 13), and my brother, Andrew, who just graduated from Auburn University with a degree in forestry.

“It’s A Love Story,” indeed, and you will LOVE Lincee Ray! Lincee is the talented author behind two of my most favorite recent books, and she is SO. FUN. Lincee shares how she became an accidental blogging super star (thanks, #TheBachelor!). I share about the time I got gum stuck in my hair during a slow dance in high school and a teacher had to cut it out with scissors 🙃. Good times!
We also get very real. Lincee so beautifully connects our culture’s fixation on love stories to our sense of longing for something more, which is only found in Christ. We talk about when life is NOT fair, how we can lament, but we must end our rants with a “but.” Because God is God and He is good.
And last but not least, Lincee gives me advice on my quest to overcome my lack of knowledge on 80s and 90s rom coms. Overall, she is a wonderful human, and I can’t wait for you to get to know her and read her books!
