What I cover in this episode of KD's Journey:
- What you should consider when researching potential employers
- Separating the “nice-to-haves” versus the necessities
- My own sour work experience
- Thinking strategically of your goals, short-term and long-term
Fresh out of college, I was on the hunt for a job that would put my degree to work. I got exactly what I wanted and landed in a job that didn’t align with my values at all. I settled and opened myself up to a sour work experience. What did I do?
I quit without having a backup.
I bartended for a while and found a side of myself I didn’t know existed. It’s as though I needed to make that change and experience the harsh realities of life to find who I wanted to be and what goals I should craft to get me there.
Take a listen!
