During the 1980s and much of the 1990s a period of rapid construction took place in the Greater Vancouver area and many condos were built with poor design, installation and problematic building envelope for the very very rainy climate that BC is accustomed to. During the leaky condo crisis of the 90s, these leaky condos were retrofitted with a rainscreen system. But what is a rainscreen, you ask?
