In 1919, the landmark Algonquin Hotel became the site of the Algonquin Round Table, a celebrated group of journalists, authors, publicists, and actors who met regularly to discuss ideas that were ultimately disseminated across the country.  Members of this circle included Dorothy Parker; Harpo Marx; playwrights Marc Connelly and Donald Ogden Stewart; and New Yorker editor Harold Ross. Algonquin 3.0 is a continuation of the spirit of the original Algonquin Round Table events.
