Two years after her death, we speak with Kopano's family about how they are coping with her loss. This is the fifth and hopefully not the last episode of Justice for Kopano, a short podcast series that dissects what happened to the youngster and what has transpired in the investigation since.

Of all the injustices in the case of Kopano Molelekedi, a 10-year-old girl struck by a motorist, abducted and dumped in a field far from home - perhaps the biggest is the lack luster investigation into her death by police.  From claims that mother Orapaleng was denied opening a missing persons case, to not following up with witnesses who saw the incident. The police play an important part in the lives of the family who lost their little girl.

In today’s episode we listen to the numerous witnesses to Kopano’s shocking accident and abduction and begin to follow the trail left behind by her killer.

In this episode of Justice for Kopano, Alex shares her experience of Kopano's memorial with us. She introduces us to Kopano's Mother, Orapaleng, who still desperately seeks justice for her daughter.

For five days, 10-year-old Kopano Molelekedi lay in a morgue in Soweto as a girl with no name. Just 15km away, a family was frantically searching for their little girl who never made it back to her mother’s home in the Jerusalema township outside Roodepoort. Finally, on Sunday, a cousin working at Noordgesig Clinic made the connection when she saw the description circulated about the missing girl, and they tracked her to the morgue at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto. This ended the search for Kopano, but it was only the start of a nightmare for her family.
