Physical Media Must Listen
This show has cost me tons of money 🤪, but I have no regrets. Brian and all of his guests always brings the goods. With a mix of humor and impressive movie knowledge this really is the best physical media show around.

Essential for Blu-ray collectors!
As a Blu-ray disc aficionado, I’m grateful to Brian for his weekly roundups of new (and old) releases. His tastes are wide and varied, and he brings on knowledgeable guests to keep things interesting. He also keeps us abreast of releases and sales from favorite distributors like Criterion, Kino Lorber, Warner Archive, Vinegar Syndrome, Severin, Twilight Time, etc. Looking forward to more reviews of 4k UHD titles (except blockbuster/superhero crap).

More defunct trailers than actual movie talk
This podcast is supposedly about talking about physical media movies but there is barely any talk beyond what the movie’s name is and the label it comes and the director and actors’ names. This podcast would then play whole trailers and scenes of movies after that and it goes on for more than 5 seconds. I’m talking about 2 minutes or more long commercials. No! That is unacceptable. They play so much trailers of these movies that I’m considering writing to the movie studios and showing them this because it goes way long beyond fair use. Skip this podcast and listen to other podcasts from people who actually watch and discuss the movies they see and buy.

Excellent Podcast
Brian Saur is a terrific podcaster and credentialed cinephile. Just the Discs is an exceptional podcast and does a great job of keeping physical media collectors informed of what is being released on Blu Ray.

Warning: Listening May Be Hazardous to Your Budget
I love listening to the podcast because it reminds me of great movies I either need to see, or need to own. Fun and geeky in all the best ways. Just be careful because it might send you on a buying frenzy and your budget will be angry with you.

Blu Ray Love
This show is just fantastic. For anyone who is a fan of Blu-rays or just movies in general. The host is knowledgeable and engaging. You get a wide variety of movies, insights, and general fun trivia. The best episodes are definitely the “release” episodes where the host and a guest pick 5 recent blu-rays and go over them. Continue the great work!

Enthusiastic, Smart Assessments
This pod keeps me up to date on obscure releases I might miss through normal channels. A bit more focus on Asian blu releases would be appreciated, but I like very much that smaller labels are covered. The Honorable Mentions sometimes interest me more than mainstream releases.

Unfiltered Movie Love
I can’t speak highly enough of the host of this series and his deep love for movies. This isn’t a niche show (except that it’s about physical media); he loves all kinds of movies, and the variety is the best part. Each week is a fun mix of titles, sometimes with a theme, sometimes the barest of connections. Regardless, it’s always illuminating and passionate, and it’s a definite listen for me every week.

An essential for collectors
I’ve been listening to this podcast since the beginning, and it gets better with every episode! As a cinephile and collector, this podcast is a wonderful resource to learn about what’s new and exciting in the specialized Blu ray distributor atmosphere.

Entertaining conversations!
I am super picky when it comes to movie podcasts. Most just wanna put themselves over above the content the discussion is about. This show dives in deep and has a working knowledge of the films they discuss. Great guests, good conversation, entertaining. Solid show.

The Best
There's no one I'd rather listen to than Brian talk about movies. He's a wealth of seemingly endless knowledge, and his inner fanboy speaks to any level of cinephile. It's because of Rupert Pupkin, Pure Cinema Podcast, and now this show that has really brought out my passion for film.

An invaluable resource
Brian and this show have sold me on more than one disc/movie I would have never picked up otherwise. Could listen to him talk movies forever!

Shows promise
I just listened to the first episode and I enjoyed it as a fan of physical media who seems to have the same tastes as the host. If I could offer some (hopefully) constructive criticism, I would say the host needs to watch how many times he says "ummm" and "uhhhh". I know he's not a professional broadcaster but these things can be "fixed in the edit" and really should be; once you notice them, it's almost impossible to pay attention to what he's saying, it happens so often. Still, this has the potential to be a great podcast!
