Another episode of The Cut, where we try to take a great album and turn it into a 10-track classic. This week we're tackling Big Sean's new album Detroit 2 and discussing Big Sean's place in the current rap landscape along with what works and what doesn't on this new project.

We try a new format as we compare top 5 weekly songs. We reflect on Jaden Smith's pivot to a more psychedelic sound and aesthetic, and then ponder why Tekashi 6ix9ine continues to make music. We then debate whether Sean Vincent De Paul or Two's a Company should join the playlist this week.  We wrap up by talking about with two artists we'd like to see in a Verzuz battle.

Cole to the death, while claiming he's still not a Stan (14:00), We send Logic off on his alleged retirement (23:00), and Athavan gushes over the new Taylor Swift album, Folklore, which gives fans and critics everything they wanted (30:00) We then close with some of the other noteworthy singles of the week (50:39).
