Please come back!
Once the earth is in less turmoil, please come back! I need more! You’re the only person I’ve come across who shares my love of The Cardigans!

We need more
If there's one complaint I have, it's that I need more episodes. Julian is kind of smug about music, but that's kinda his thing. I don't need to to know that we all have our own taste in music and that it's subjective, because I know it. I can just enjoy him being a jerk about his horrible taste in music. :D Plus, the most important thing is that he's funny and has funny guests. PLEASE MAKE MORE, JULIAN!

a review of julian loves music:
i love doug loves movies and i love music more than i love movies so this was a no-brainer for me y’all. the show is fun as hell! julian is delightfully antagonistic and if you get upset at him you clearly hate fun and laughing!!!

Picking up
This show is really getting good as Julian gets more comfortable hosting. It has appeal for anyone who has ever heard music. The Crashtest Dummies game is surprisingly almost the best thing on any podcast. Great games! Fun guests! I hope we get more.

Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Great!
I love this podcast! It took me a while to get around to listening to it because I wasn't sure how a podcast about music would be funny, but it's hilarious. I don't always agree with Julian's opinions, but I appreciate his and the guests' humorous takes on bands, artists, songs and the stories behind them. My favorite so far is the September 13th, 2016, episode with Ron Funches in which they play a game that changes the lyrics to Crash Test Dummies' "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" to be about someone you knew in high school. Keep up the good work, Julian!

New favorite podcast
I listen to a lot of comedian podcasts & this one is my new favorite. Always wished for a music version of Doug Loves Movies. The Things That Make You Go Hmmmm game is the funniest. Give it listen.

Really funny
There's only been a handful of episodes so far, but it's really funny. Julian is a funny guy and the games are entertaining
The terrific Dave
Unorganized mess
I've really tried to like this podcast, listened to every episode since it started, but it's just not good. It's very unorganized, your lucky if you recognize any of the guests most of the time and it really lacks the comedy that made Doug Loves Movies so good. The host is terribly unfunny and seems to make it up as he goes along pausing and stammering his way throughout and his smug and smarmy attitude doesn't help. This could be a great podcast in better hands with better guests but this is just awful.

Big fan
I like this show very much. I listen to it when I'm cutting pepperoni or when I'm roller skating with Bill.

Love the awkwardness
I love Julian's music spinoff take on DLM. It's so delightfully awkward and even though he it feels like he doesn't love music, you can tell he does have a love for it. I love the games, the weird transitions and he does get better with each episode. Don't come at the show like it's exactly DLM as it won't match your expectations. Keep being snarky Julian and keep having your guests poop on you.

Love your "smugness" and think it's hilarious. Just part of the music culture, folks. I hate most music too!

Trainwreck
This show is so bad. Gives music nerds a terrible name. Every game is poorly thought out and every guest know zilch about music.

I like it
Sometimes the show train wrecks , it's still new. However every episode has caused slight to severe laughter

Doug Loves Movies this isn't
I would have given 0 stars but the option wasn't available. Listened to all the podcasts and tried to like Julian but he is a terrible host and mostly a smug douche. He might have stolen the whole podcast idea from DLM but one thing he forgot was the fun. I enjoy listening to Doug but Julian is just a chore as host. Unsubscribing from this after I post my review.

The Poor Man's Doug Loves Music
I guess that I understand what Julian is trying to achieve here but I can honestly say that he is failing miserably. This podcast is simply a poorly executed parody of Doug Loves Music and, if I'm being honest, a complete mockery of the aesthetic beautifully crafted by Doug and his producers. 1 out of 5 stars.

Give it a Chance
Show is finding its legs so give it a chance. It's an entertaining podcast with great guests and Julian is finding his groove as a host. A solid companion piece to Doug Loves Movies.

Whoever name-dropped TAD in the Grungemouth game on the Aug. 23rd episode is my hero.

Thanks Julian
This pod is a great spinoff of Doug. I think it's going to find its feet soon, it's a little early to say it's going to be epic but it definitely has potential. Great guests and a great host. This pod is a fun way to challenge your ears. I really the love grunge mouth game. I'm excited to see how this pod evolves.

Great idea, but kind of a mess
I've been listening since the first episode and wanted to let it settle in before posting any feedback. I love the Doug Loves Movies-style format and the guests so far have been great. On the flip side, Julian seems unprepared. I can tell he's friends with most of his guests, but he gets too pretentious sometimes when people don't know an answer that may be more obvious to others. (That's my polite way of saying he comes across as a big 'ol snob sometimes.) The game portion would be a lot more fun to listen to if he had concrete rules and would stick to them. Grunge Mouth is a genius idea, but a lot of the other games have suffered from Julian forgetting his own rules or changing them mid-game. Episode 8 was the most recent and it was a slog to get through. I can't get enough music podcasts in my life, and this show is great idea. It can only get better!

It's ok
Julian needs to be less of D*** and less depressing, Could really learn how to be a good host from Doug Benson but doesn't seem to learning anythign from him, hope it gets better.

this podcast is great
need to be more of them. it's really fun to play along. I like how loose it is too, feels like friends playing dumb games at someone's house. in a good way.

Loving this!
I'm a longtime Doug loves Movies podcast listener so I gave it a chance to subscribe to this podcast and I'm loving the music games they're really funny. But it kinda throws me off that it's soooo similar to DLM. It's great to make another podcast with the same concept but to even copy the opening song? Not with it. I would of like to see their own original version of this game show. But I will still listen to it I'm excited to hear more episodes.

Musical taste, subjective. This podcast, objectively awesome.
A great listen, hearing funny people connect (and sometimes disconnect) over what music means to them.

Five stars!
Julian is great! Such a great spin-off that is coming into its own.

Fun
Really digging the show and it gets better each episode. Rock on Julian.

Music snob
Julian is so obnoxious. He is that guy you knew in college who looks down on everyone else's musical taste. Very off putting

I want to like it
Big fan of Doug Loves Movies so I've been giving this one a try. Like the idea of it but Julian comes off really smug and kinda seems like a douche...going to give it a few more trys to see if I can get more into it but not great so far

Great Homage
This show is a great homage to Doug Loves Movies. Like the show that inspired it has a hilarious host that knows a great deal about the topics at hand and is also very passionate about said topics. I'd recommend this podcast to anyone that like music, gameshows or both.

Great so far!
This podcast hits the spot for me since I love Doug Loves Movies but am more of a music fan than a movie guy. I dig the guests and Julian’s taste in music. Just wish it came out more often!

Julian Loves the 6-4-3
Julian played varsity shortstop as a freshman. He is an achiever. He is a winner. He is also a comic who LOVES music! While it could be said that this podcast is in its spring training phase, by midseason Julian will be hitting for the cycle every show. He can chip comedic singles, doubles and stand-up triples, but like any heavy balled fella, Julian is a home run hitter, and when he delivers, it's a nutshot to the laugh sack ack ack ack . You ought to know by now! So, if you're not sold on the first few shows, you need a little Patience. If you don't like the podcast after 9 tries at the podcast plate,, I'd say You're Crazy. Give it a minute. Julian is the Derek Jeter of podcasts.. Sincerely, Not His Mom

Love the games
As a musician and drummer for Todd Glass, I love this concept. The games are great, the flow of the show needs a little work (like saying prize bag instead of gift bag, like Doug lol) keep it up and I will follow

Super Good
Off to a great start, love the music version of DLM! Wish there were more episodes, hate this long wait! Would love to see Build a Band Title or AC/Deez Nutz?! Excited to see where it goes!

Finally!
I've been waiting for a musical equivalent to the hundreds of fun movie shows out there. Being a longtime DLM listener, I had huge expectations for this show, and was pleasantly surprised! Can't wait to see how things evolve over time. Great, great, great show!

Love it
This show is great, Julian is so funny! He's a great host, looking forward to more. Also enjoy hearing about new (to me) music.

I hope it lasts.
Still a few kinks to work out but that should come in time. I only hope this show lasts long enough for the rough edges to wear down. Why is the most recent (and first full-length) episode not listed here? Were there rights issues? I NEED a show like this. Fingers crossed that it survives.

Off to a great start
Enjoy the show so far, and love the "Good Jazz/Bad Jazz" game, even if it's a tad obvious. I suggest something from Miles off of Star People to throw people off. Keep it up.

This podcast has potential
I'm more of a movie fan than a music fan nowadays, but I decided I'd give this a listen after hearing about it on Doug Loves Movies. The stories the guests had were nice, but I think that there are kinks to work out with the games. Like with his version of Last Man Stanton. He chose to play like Doug Benson does on his podcast, but it was unfair because he chose a band instead of letting an audience member give a suggestion on what musical artist(s) to play with. As a sidenote, I hope that there will be a a wider variety of genres than his favorites. I don't know if he likes it at all, but a Rap/Hip-Hop (my favorite genre of music) episode that brings up its many sub-genres would be really cool in my opinion Like my title of this review says though, I think that this podcast has the potential to be a great one.
