For the last two years, Lena Bivins and her sister Shante Marshall, are saying “helllo” to anyone they pass by, especially to those who are “unwanted” and in distress in their Woodlawn community. Everyday news of shootings, crimes does not deter them from getting out daily and embracing the weary in their neighborhood.

This two sisters get their courage from the legacy their mother left behind. The mother, being in great mental and physical distress, kept on giving to their neighbors till her last days!

We listened in awe, how this family turned daily distress into daily joy of giving to others and each other.
