A behind the scenes look into the recording world. If you're a musical artist, podcaster, producer, voice actor, young engineer or someone who is just interested in this odd world, THIS PODCAST IS FOR YOU. The format will vary from script reading to interview to riffing. There will be times when we are learning together; and there will be times were we aren't even talking about audio production. Regardless, it will be a fun time for everyone! :) If you have any topics you would like to discuss, please send it to [email protected].
How to Get Your Musical Project Taken *More* Seriously
After having a large handful of conversations, I realized that bands and artists have the same core desire - to be taken seriously as a musician. What was amazing to me is that every single musician that I spoke to, and I spoke to a lot, had the same problem. This triggered me to reach out to music fans of all styles and levels and ask them, "What makes you take a new band or artist seriously?" I think the number one way to get people to stick around as a fan is to have some seriously badass sounding music along with high quality images, video content and branding. If you're releasing music, then your music is probably one of, if not your main product! So it should sound great...right? It should capture the listener from the beginning...right? And leave the listener wanting more...right? Right! BUT HOW!?!?!?!?! To get in touch, email me at [email protected]. | @HarbourEscape | @Jamie_Stoffa | JLSAudio.net

Just Fix it in the Mix...Right?!
WRONG!!! In this episode of the JLS Audio Podcast, I talk about why it's always important to track until it's as good as you can get it and NOT depend on editing...or mixing.....or even mastering (for whatever reason) to fix it up. I talk about some of the editing capabilities and why you shouldn't worry about any of that. Just focus on getting the best clean sounding performance recorded.  For any topic suggestions, questions or project inquiries email me at [email protected] or visit JLSAUDIO.net.  Check out my music projects: Harbour Escape and Jamie Stoffa.  Follow me on instagram @jls_audio and @jamie_stoffa. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
