This is I think one of the most sincere “we’re just hanging out around the table” D&D actual play podcasts out there. The DM and players are so much fun, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t laugh through each of the book club episodes.

Love this podcast! The DM and players have worked wonderfully together to creat a fun, hilarious, and creative game/show to listen to. I care about all the characters, including the lovable npcs that the DM roleplays, and it hasn’t made me cry(yet?)! Some of my favorite moments have been Cacophony’s costume changes, Jylliana’s awkward dealings with flirting, Aelfgifu’s learning about the world through book club, Artie being true to himself (and how dumb he is), and anything with Mr. Hurst the cheerful hippo man! It is beautifully edited and easy to listen to, so give Jemjammer 5E kinda D&D on a space pirate ship a try!

If you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, the 80's Aesthetic, and absolutely off-the-rails-but-definitely-justified gameplay, search no further! Jemjammer, from the incredible folks behind I Will Fight You, The Jem Jam, and Date Me, Dammit!, is one of my new favorite Actual Plays. The initial setup is simple- three D&D PCs meet in a town and get a quest- but it quickly assumes its true form as they get into the Spelljammer set. Annie, Maq, and Vicki are terrific players as they stumble (or leap wholeheartedly) into the wider universe, capably set up by Kit. I'm not familiar with Spelljammer outside of this, so I have no idea where it's going to go next, but I trust Kit and the cast to make the journey enjoyable and enthralling. Keep up the good work! Remember- you're a SUPERSTAR!

I’ve listened to the Jem Jam crew for a little while now and when I heard that a live play RPG was in the works, I knew it was going to be spectacular. This first episode had me roaring with laughter. I liked the character introduction, I really got a sense for who everyone was very quickly. I love the commitment to representation. It’s so refreshing having a table full of women playing 5E D&D. You need to listen to listen to this show.
